Nice hotel close to embassyPosted Aug 28, 2013
Pros: Location. Friendly staff. Kitchenette. Free wi-fi, and two desktop computers available for guest use.
Cons: Softer bed. This is a non-smoking hotel, but not all guests follow the rules, so you can sometimes smell cigarette smoke in the halls or stairs.
Location: Close to the "Angel" on Paseo de la Reforma in Mexico City. Close to US Embassy and financial district. Easy taxi ride to the Alameda and Zocalo.
We stayed here only one night, but it was a nice hotel just off the main road of Paseo de la Reforma in Mexico City. With kitchenette, which is nice for keeping drinks cold and reheating leftovers from the restaurant for a snack. Hotel beds in Latin America are usually hard. This one wasn't as bad as most, but still not like sleeping at home. The room was very clean with a "fresh air" vent blowing in outside air (which you can close if you want to).

Good enoughPosted Jul 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Everything was good, clean. Not as big as pictures make it seem. The bed was very hard but we were so tired from walking all day that it didn't matter. Everything was basic, not excellent but not bad. Location was great, clean, no complaints.

Loud sounds from live mariach band from down belowPosted Jul 18, 2013
Pros: in-room kitchen
Location: best and convenient
I did not know there was a retaurant & bar on the ground level. When I arrived late in the evening, a live band was playing & singing nice Mexican Mariach songs, so I joined and had a couple of beer, enjoyed the music and even I requested 3 favorite songs of mine. My room was on the first floor and the music coming from below was somewhat loud but I could fall into sleep. Next night the music was even louder and I asked the fron that I wanted to change room but was told the whole roos wered fully booked. 2 days after I was given a room on the 6th floor and the trouble was solved. So, be sure when booking to ask a room on the high level floor, higher the better up to 12th floor if you need a quite night.
