Relaxing hotel after a busy day.

Posted Mar 26, 2014
Pros: Hotel staff and service. Great spa to go to at the end of the day. Best breakfasts ever.
Cons: Dinner menu could be updated.
Location: Central location, safe and a short taxi ride to several museums.
I celebrated my 50th birthday with friends and family and we stayed here. Courteous, professional staff from the bellhop, front desk, concierge, room service. Breakfast wait staff gave me a small cake for my birthday and Cesar and company arranged a surprise at the end of the day when I walked in the room - there were 26 balloons and another small cake to celebrate my day!! I have stayed in other places who did similar things i.e bottle of wine, small gift basket, etc. but this was more personable, fun and delightful.

Excellent service

The hotel is very nice with excellent services and amenities. Being at Paseo Reforma is very convenient for transportation or just for a simple walk around the Boulevard. It may be somewhat inconvenient if you coincide with one of the many public gathering/protest at Paseo Reforma.

Business Splurge in MC. 100% service

Posted Dec 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
It's rare for me to stay in this class of hotel, but the price was right for the level of service, location, huge room, great amenities. We purchased right on Cinco de Mayo (May 5) and the price we paid for an exec suite was that of regular discount rate for a single. 180 degree view of the west of the city over Reforma and Chalpultepec park. We almost booked 4 seasons originally and that has big construction right next door and so noisy. I think we chose well. Even rarer, room service menu and every item on it we had was excellent - (by end of day we were often exhausted from seeing too many paintings / sculptures / artifacts / steps up pyramids) - terrific, well presented, well thought through and delicious. Staff took extremely good care of us from breakfast to turn-down. Highly recommended if you are going to splurge in MC.

Modern Luxury and Outstanding Service

Posted Oct 16, 2013
Pros: The service was outstanding! See above re concierge, but also loved the champagne at check-in, macarons in the room & butler coffee service.
Cons: 2 minor items: 2 hrs. w/o truly hot water & no turn down service one evening. The front desk, however, waived our internet charges when mentioned.
Location: Location was great. On Reforma, one of the city's major boulevards. Walking distance to Anthropology Museum, Centro, and Roma.
My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous 4 night stay at the Mexico City St. Regis. The rooms are large, well equipped, luxurious and beautiful with floor to ceiling windows, desk and sitting areas, his and her closets and in mirror televisions in the bathroom in addition to the large flat screen in the main room. We checked in very late the first night, and were put in a room with a very limited view. The registration clerk was apologetic, stating that the hotel was completely full, and upgraded us the following three nights to a higher floor overlooking the Diana fountain on Reforma. Stunning! Most noteworthy, however, was the concierge, which helped me out of a jam with speed and grace. My very expensive suitcase zipper ripped on the trip down, which I only discovered when the airport customs agent at Juarez asked to inspect its contents. When he saw that the zipper would never close once opened, he kindly waived me through AND found some tape to seal it well enough to get to my hotel. At this point, I would have both to buy new luggage to fly my things back and somehow get the uncloseable $750 suitcase back for repair - not how I wanted to spend my 3 days in Mexico. I called the Park Ave. luggage retailer for help, only to be told to file a claim with the airline before they hung up on me. The hotel concierge however saved me, had the zipper completely replaced in 1 day and charged me all of US $ 40! Thank you, St. Regis concierge!

Good service

Posted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: Clean, new, great staff
Cons: Steam room. Warmth throughout the hotel
Location: A walk from the amazing anthropology museum and frida Khalo museum. A lovely park full of art and wonder.
The hotel staff Was excellent. The room service came quickly and everyone was eager to help. One thing I found strange was that the concierge couldn't provide a map that went outside 10 miles of the city. The beds weren't that comfortable but I must say that the worst room in the hotel is Excellent. The elevators are on this system that reminds me of the elevators at WME, they always bother me because you can't change where you're going but the positive side is that you never wait more than 30 seconds for an elevator. It's safe and in a very good neighborhood. Another negative is that the steam room is not great but the gym is outstanding. So for every con there's a great pro. All in all I was very comfortable staying here though at times the hotel does seem a bit cold like an office building.
