"Beautiful hotel, excellent staff"
The staff are world-class. We arrived brutally sick, and they had a doctor in our room within an hour to administer antibiotics, and they sent a member of staff to pick up the prescriptions we needed from the pharmacy. Once the excitement died down, it was a pleasure to recover in such a beautiful hotel. The architecture is amazing, planes of color and light. The fountain is worth the price of admission, like it has somehow captured the roughness of the sea in a small pool. The Tamayo mural in the lobby was a pleasure to view, and the excellent room service catered to our absurd dietary needs resulting from illness and medication. The heated swimming pool was a pleasure, too. Highly recommend this place even if you aren't deathly ill. It's a beautiful landmark building with excellent service and staff.

"Great location. Bit of Glamour"
This hotel exceeded my expectations. Was really stylish in an Art Deco way. Room was fabulous and had nice little touches , like petit fours on arrival in the room. Bed turn down service was cute too. Just as good a location as anything central

"Great location"
During my stay, we experienced a 7.5 earthquake on 4/18/14. All the staff were there yo help us. The people, that ran out with very little clothing, were give, bathrobes. We were give bottled water, n bread, cuz the quake, hit at 9:27 am. Many of us, were getting ready to go to breakfast, or to go out, when the quake hit. After about 2 1/2 hours, we were all treated to a free breakfast buffet. I GIVE THIS HOTEL A 5 GOLD STAR RATING. I recommend this hotel to anyone, who visits Mexico City. I know this will be my hotel, every time I visit Mexico Vity, but I just hope you don't experience an earthquake, like I did, lol :-)

"Historic hotel in very convenient location"
Opened in 1907, this hotel is in the middle of the very energetic Zona Rosa, and within reasonable walking distance (or an inexpensive taxi ride) of major sites both west (Bosque Chaputepec) and east (Palacio de Bellas Artes and the Zócalo. There is a lot of Mexico City history, as experienced through the hotel, on display in the lobby and in the hallways.

"Amazing!!"
The rooms were really nice, the staff was beyond helpful, the housekeepers were great, if you wanted a sedan or a taxi, they got them ASAP and opened your door, they recommended restaurants, everyone spoke at least some English which was really helpful, though we tried Spanish. They have a great pastry shop and restaurant and wonderful room service and breakfast -- including soy milk which I was excited about. They were happy to make substitutions with food. Everything is really on point there. Very luxurious and in a really great, safe neighborhood. It was a great stay and I would go back in a second.
