Very dissappointing

Pros: design
Cons: Basic service
Hotel staff are very inexperienced and don't know what service is. The hotel is not finished -- drilling and banging going on. Restaurant that was supposed to be open was closed when we got there and the hotel left us with no option to eat in the hotel except room service. Not nice when you have kids and are together with a number of different couples. In the rain they put up a plastic sheet instead of doing anything properly -- rain came right through and they didn't offer any solution. Hotel design is very nice but they need to get service minded staff hired and start acting like a 5 star hotel.

Recently stayed for four nights, the hotel staff is super friendly and makes sure you get everything you need.. There's a complimentary car that can take you where you need to go, even hotel staff find taxis for you if needed. The rooms are spacious and clean. Everything from the pool to the view was perfect!! Recommend to anyone who wants a 5 star experience.

Its really not fair to rate this hotel right now. Realistically... they should have waited another couple of weeeks to open. Lots of little issues and kinks that need to be worked out. Fire alarms going, worker by the pool all day, in room tablets not functioning properly.... also the main restaurant isnt open yet. They are still working on half the building, so your room may be below a construction site. BUT.... this hotel will hopefully work it all out and easily has the potential to be a 5 star hotel. The staff weas wonderful and understood guest frustrations and did their very best to make everyone happy. Grounds are gorgeous, rooms are spacious, multiple pools, ocean views. This is a great property and a great choice for a stay in south beach. I will give it a second try in a couple of months when they have hopefully have it up and runnning smoothly and properly.

Best Hotel at SoBe

Location: Collins Mall, Bliss Spa, STK, W Hotel, The Setai
It's such an eco-friendly, wonderful, elegant hotel with nice South Beach view and pools&cabanas. It's one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Great place for everyone! The hotel and room are amazing. It makes you feel home! I went out running along the beach every morning, and the brunch by the pool would cool you off. The staff are so warmhearted and friendly. My family loves 1 Hotels. It will be our one and only choice whenever we come to Miami for vacations.

Beautiful but just not ready yet

Even though the hotel is absolutely gorgeous most of the facilities are not ready for use yet. I believe they opened the hotel too soon and they were not ready to attend guests yet. There are still many workers at the hotel and services are not offered at a level which a guest would expect.

The gym, spa, restaurant, all not open The bar at the swimming pool has terrible food, it was cold and dry besides it was way to expensive for small appetizers with no drinks at least 50 with the tip which was already included The staff at the pools are not experienced not good service You have to call and ask for things missing in the bedrooms They are still doing construction at the pools when you are swimming , IMAGINE

Disappointing experience - must improve services!

Pros: Beautiful rooms, excellent decor with the best taste and nice design. Nice touch with environmentally friendly water and room keys.
Cons: The staff, specially in the pool area. The food could be a lot better: nice recipes but frozen food.
Location: Best located, nice beach.
If you are willing to pay a lot of money for a room in a new, attractive hotel, be aware of the word NEW. In this case New equals improvising, lack of attention from the staff, not the best food and the lesson that new technologies - a sort of smart phone that controls from Cable TV to the Bell Service - are not necessarily the best substitute for good human resources. 1 Hotel needs to do a lot before launching services: half an hour to get a menu in order to have lunch at the pool and having to actually go to the bar for yourself in order to get your drinks. Bad food - frozen meat in your tacos. 15 minutes to have someone reach you once you touch the Bell Boy services in the device -not good when you are trying to rush to the airport.
