“A Nice & Spacious Hotel”

I was in Miami to attend a wedding and needed a hotel for 4 people. After a exhaustive search to find a hotel on or near the beach and big enough to accommodate everyone, I decided (with fingers crossed) to go with this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised to find the rooms looked like the pictures! The hotel is located in a nice area right off of Collins Ave, (although we got a little confused when using the GPS to locate it). This hotel overlooks the marina bay and is on the beach, which is just a few steps away right behind the hotel. I really enjoyed the peaceful and secluded outdoor area where the cabanas and lounge chairs overlooked the scenic view of the marina bay. The hotel is located on a part of the beach where it is quiet and not crowded with tourist. There is only 3 floors (the elevators are small) and there is no restaurant on the premises; but the Bal Harbour shopping area is only a few blocks away where you will find restaurants and delivery was available from various eateries in the area. There is also a parking fee of $10 a day. We visited South Beach which is about 10-12 minutes away from the hotel (depending on traffic). This is a good hotel choice for those looking for a nice reasonably priced spacious room on the beach without the noisy crowds, but still close enough to all of the action! I would definitely stay here again.

the hotel doesn't look that great from the outside but once you walk in you feel like your in heaven and the one bedroom luxury suite was beautiful and huge not the way the pictures make the room look....they need to post better pictures of there rooms because the pictures they have posted dont give the rooms any justice.... parking was only 10 dollars a night and the beach was just a short walk away from the hotel...very nice upscale area away from all the noise on south beach but you need a car if you want to go to south beach for dinner and drinks..... cant wait to go back .....

“A beautiful getaway by the sea”

I loved the hotel. Everything was clean, quiet, and new. My standard room was beautiful and the walk to the beach was short and on a straight little path. this is coming from a picky young adult.

LOVED the hotel, and the location was terrific for us. You can walk to a very nice grocery store, the beach is accessible on foot (or you can go to the pretty county park beach at Haulover --easier by car, but walkable over bridge). Bal Harbour is a wealthy area, so walk to Surfside for restaurants. The hotel was lovely, with very comfortable bed, luxurious linens, well appointed kitchen area (no stove, but who needs that with a microwave?!), incl. 6 wine goblets, etc. We loved our interactions with Daniel, the young man of all work, and Jorge (who called us by our names from the moment we got there until we left, offered to arrange a tour of the Everglades when we mentioned we were going there , etc). The only problem: they play music in the hallway until 1am or something; this is okay when it was the quiet guitar music, but when it became jazz and vocals on day two, it was too loud! But since the bed is well back into the room, not a huge issue. I would ask for a room on the back side of the hotel --we overlooked the pool--or on the inlet. We LOVED the extremely comfortable and attractive outdoor seating, watching the sunset and pelicans racing by at eye level, with beautiful blue water of the inlet at our feet... I would go back here any day. Hope we will next year! The place is completely renovated and although there are a few rough edges (the scratches in the bathtub, eg or the lobby door renovation while we were there), I think everything else is done - lovely!

“Breathtaking Hotel”

Great hotel for every type of person from business to pleasure or couples to families.. only issue I had was the distance from South beach the taxi cab prices were a bit much so I would recommend renting a car or a scooter while staying here to get around. There is a shuttle but the times are kinda inconvenient and hard to understand exactly how the route works.. overall this hotel is lovely and I would definitely stay there again.. just with better transportation planned

“A secret place in Mia...Don't tell anyone!!”

After 7 years travelling to Miami minimum once a year and staying in many different hotels, the Bal Harbour Quarzo is the first hotel in Mia that I would stay again. The room I stayed was very clean, modern, spacious...very confortable. The hotel is well mantained, smells good, looks new and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a lovely backyard with the view of the bay and it has a very charming pool (small). I consider the hotel a good place for couples since there is no attraction for kids. The hotel has only 28 rooms and it is located in a peaceful area of Bal Harbour. Kids might find it boring and disturb other guests. It happened to me and the person at the front desk managed it very well after my complain. The best deal is to have small meals in the room since it is it has a full kitchen and there are no shops or restaurants very close and the room service is limited (closed on Sundays). The beach is across the street and each room has 2 chairs and an umbrela available with no cost. You can also have small bites and drinks there if you want...mojitos are good! Taxi to South Beach costs about 30.00 usd and the parking at the hotel is 10.00 usd per day. So, I would consider renting a car next time to have a stroll around town during the day. Great experience, I'll be back soon!
