Doable for one night onlyPosted Mar 7, 2014
I had an interview early in the morning in Miramar and this hotel was the cheapest room with at least 3 star rating. The staff was friendly, greeted me promptly. The room was clean but walls in the bathroom were damaged and the carpet smelled old and musty. I was sleeping during the night when someone began banging on my door and tried to open it repeatedly. Before I could get to the phone to call the front desk, they called me and questioned who I was and when I had checked in. There was some mix up at the desk where the room still showed as being available and was given to another person. I was also woken up early the next morning by another phone call, this time from a taxi service which I never requested. Front desk policy and procedure is extremely lacking at this hotel and I feel lucky that I was only there one night. WOULD NOT RECOMMEMD THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE.

Hotel for a late arrival at a decent pricePosted Mar 2, 2014
My husband and I needed a hotel for two nights but since we were arriving late in the evening, we were looking for a decent hotel price and a shuttle for the first night and then planned to move to our other hotel the next day. The Baymont offered both. If you're looking for a one night stay on a budget, I'd definitely recommend.

Ok place to spend the night between flights.Posted Feb 18, 2014
Baymont was comfortable and clean. It's an ok place to stay nights between flights. My only complaint is that the staff is not very welcoming or friendly. The layout of the desk is not good because the staff is not at the desk, but around a corner where emotes seem to hide. There was never anyone at the desk when I approached. I always had to call out to get someone to help, checkin, checkout, ask questions, etc. I always felt like I was interrupting something that the staff felt was more important.

Thought this would be closer to airport, but not.Posted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: Convienent/close restaurants.
Cons: The smell.
Location: It was just a little layover for us, so I would say good Italian restaurant and a o.k pool for the kids.
Friendly male checked us in during the day and let us get our room early. Thank you. Room did not smell very good, can't really describe the smell.? We booked this room thinking it was going to be in or next to the M.I. airport but was not even close. Was a convienient location to eat and very close to an EXCELLENT Itialian restaurant. We had to get a cab real early in the morning - 4:00 a.m and the female working called us a cab. We waited for 20 minutes then a cab showed up. We went to get in and she said that is not the right cab, there is a female cab driver coming to pick you up. I smelled a skunk right away and my family and I got in because a yellow cab is a yellow cab. I told the driver and he said she was more than like in cahoots with the female cab driver and was going to tell me it was a flat $60.00 fee and the hotel clerk would have made $20.00. So beware of this scam at this hotel.

A okay place to stay between flights.Posted Feb 17, 2014
An okay place to spend the night between flights. I stayed here twice, on each end of a cruise. Free Shuttle service to and from Miami International Airport. My only complaint - the staff is not friendly. The staff does not attend at the desk, but off to the side and behind a wall. You have to call out to get someone to come over. Whenever I did that and asked for anything, the staff was slow, and seemed grumpy. It was like they wanted to do something other than helping guests or answering questions.

'Twas the night before RagnarPosted Feb 14, 2014
Pros: Price. Location. Only 5 miles from Ragnar exchange 6. Perfect for Van #2 runners.
I was so pleasantly surprised with how nice this hotel was for the price. We have stayed in Miami several times prior to the start of Ragnar Miami to Key West and we've been in some DUMPS! I was skeptical about how nice this place could possibly be for $120.00 per night, but it was great! I will highly recommend it for anyone coming down for an affordable stay. It's in a nice area, too. We didn't feel like we couldn't walk around or that our van would be broken into.
