Stinky RoomPosted Nov 24, 2014
First room we stayed in had a terrible odor coming from the AC unit. Called to front desk to notify of smell and was told the housekeeper would bring air freshener and to our surprise no one came. Complained the next day and had to wait for 30 minutes to speak to a manager. We finally got moved to a new room and the smell was much better. There is no hotel security. A pizza delivery guy placed a flyer under our door so my husband and I ordered from FAST PIZZA and the food was inedible and totally disgusting! We tried calling the restaurant back and the owner kept hanging up on us. We went to tell management and was told they are not liable for strangers walking into their hotel placing flyers under the door.

was okPosted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: the hotels inside was beautiful and very clean
Cons: parking and having complimentary breakfast-not asking to pay $9 for breakfast
Location: for us location was not great as far as restaurants close by to get to or walk to being in the city location
Although the hotel was clean and beautiful inside. There was VERY limited parking and for the price you pay you should give complimentary breakfast. Also we had arrived at 1:00pm prior to heading to homestead miami speedway-and when I arrived was immediate no rooms available until 3:00pm which thought was odd to not even check.

Amazing bed!Posted Nov 13, 2014
The bed and pillows were amazing! So comfortable and totally unexpected for a Best Western. I only wish breakfast was included. Everything else was fantastic.

Nice hotel but could do betterPosted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: Rooms were nice
Nice facility, good rooms but let down by the staff and shuttle service. When we arrived in Miami we called to find out how long for the shuttle bus and told "less than half an hour" so we waited. The Hilton bus went past 6 times, as did the Ramada, the Marriott and others. No Best Western. We called after 40 minutes to be told he would be there soon. An hour goes by and we call and are told the bus had been in an accident (which we figured could happen to anyone) so we took a taxi. When we got there the shuttle was outside COMPLETELY undamaged and had passengers getting off. I asked them where they had come from and it was hotel guests that had paid to be picked up from a private function. So basically the reception lied about it. They offered us a shuttle to the cruise for a fee. As they only have one bus they seem to want it to generate extra money (cash only not charged to the room) and not use it for shuttling people for free to and from the airport.

It's a decent hotel close to the airportPosted Nov 11, 2014
The hotel definitely has the means to be very nice; however, the upkeep is not adequate. Also, the staff was not very attentive and did not pass on messages to the following shift. When picking up the phone, I encountered giggling and discussions amongst staff before I was even acknowledged...several times! Check in line was very long at 1130pm and only 1 person to do this task while others walked around chatting or giggling with each other. Room had dirty bathroom, 1 elevator out of order leaving just 1 working, and shuttle driver was rude and didn't utter a single word. He even had us load and unload our bags! Wow!!!

All things were satisfied, except sticky body of hair dryer. The room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds. At the airport, I waited the shuttle bus about 20 minutes. The driver asked me to reserve in advance. That might be the cause why I waited so long. I didn't reserve because the front desk told me I needed not to.

Nice Hotel close to the airportPosted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: Nice big room for a family of 4.
Location: Close to Little Havana and the malls
It was our first time staying at a Best Western Hotel Premier and was really a very good experience. It is very close to the malls and in between Calle 8 (Little Havana) and Coconut Grove. Excellent service, staff was friendly and accommodating. Rooms were big and clean and there is also a nice restaurant with latin cuisine.

Nice hotel close to the airport and Coral GablesPosted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: This was our 2nd time staying at the Best Western and we returned because our first experience was so positive. We found the staff friendly and help
Location: Things to see and do: Crandon and Bill Braggs Parks on Key Biscayne; restaurants: Pascals on Ponce, Shorty's Bar-b-Q, Versailles, Joe's Stone Crab
A perfect place to stay between the airport and Coral Gables. The only drawback is you need a car to get to the beaches. Although there are plenty to choose from. There are a lot of great restaurants in Coral Gables and the trip to South Miami Beach only takes about 15 minutes.
