“Very impressed!”

This was my 1st time at the Cadet Hotel. Normally, I stay at the President, but all rooms were booked. I booked a room at the Cadet 2 days before my trip. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. My room was sooo comfortable and made me feel special to have a personal note addressed to me on my bed, not the mention the chocolates! Yummm!... Bathroom was nice and the room was clean! My experience there was great! I recommend this hotel to anyone... Thanks Cadet! See you soon!

“Clean and low-key, very close to the beach.”

Our bags were brought up by a very kind employee and we were greeted with a welcome note, some cute bottles of water, and a few pieces of fruit--very adorable. The room was clean with a view of the little pool/jacuzzi. Air conditioning was quiet, bathroom was fine (in photos that we'd seen, the grout looked moldy, but it turned out that it was just a very dark gray color which looks dingy but is clean). Staff was willing and helpful (esp with amenities like extra towels), but seemed unfamiliar with public transportation and eating options. We loved the box of chocolates by the bedside at turn-down. No desk in the room, which didn't bother us, but might be a consideration. Same with some construction that was going on next-door when we visited (late February 2011).

“Best location at reasonable price.”

Cadet is a lovely small hotel half a block away from the blockbusters: Delano, National and Sagamore. It is a wonderfully convenient location. One block away to the right is the New World Symphony. One and one half blocks tot he left is the beach. One block straight ahead is the Lincoln Street Pedestrian mall. The ultra-glamorous Delano is on the corner. The Bass Museum and Miami Ballet are a short walk. Casa Tua, reportedly one of the top restaurants in Miami is across the street. The staff is gracious and helpful, although not terrifically knowledgeable.

“South Beach gem”

We go to South Beach every winter for a weekend getaway, and have stayed in a different place every year. With the Cadet we have finally found the place we'll keep coming back to. The location is great, walkable to everything you could want to see in South Beach, near restaurants, bars, and shopping, and just two blocks from the beach. The hotel appears to be newly renovated, and the room was clean, comfortable, and relatively quiet. We had a second floor room facing the jacuzzi. The biggest disappointment was that the jacuzzi wasn't heated - the management told us they had just learned it was broken, but we sure would have enjoyed a hot soak in the cold weather! Our only other complaint was that there could have been more tv channels.

“Great South Beach Hotel”

We had a great stay at the Cadet Hotel. We traveled from Ft. Myers to South Beach for the Food and Wine Festival and chose this hotel based on reviews, price and location. For the price, this was a terrific deal. The location was within walking distance to everything including Lincoln Mall. All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel was a small "boutique" hotel and the little things were much appreciated, like the bathrobes, slippers, bottled water, toiletries and a small bowl of fresh fruit in the room - oh and the little box of chocolate at the turn down service. My husband walked down to the front desk in the morning and ordered coffee for us and they delivered it to our room with steamed milk and 2 madelaines - no charge for the madelaines! Very nice touch. The rooms and common area's were all very clean and mostly refurbished. They have a small covered patio where we enjoyed breakfast. My only complaint is they do not have a pool. They have a huge hot tub, but the operative word is "HOT" it was so hot, we couldn't get in. We'd definitely stay here again!

“nice little hotel”

This hotel is close to all parts of South Beach. Everything is clean and everybody is helpful. It's a block to the beach and a block to Lincoln Rd. Without a car I would definitely reserve a room in this hotel again.

“great hotel”

we enjoyed our experience here. great location - everything is in walking distance. staff was extremely courteous and helpful. rooms were nice and hotel well maintained. the only thing i didn't like is you have to contact the front desk to get the room temperature changed. they were prompt to come to the room but an inconvenience nonetheless.
