Pleasant. Dining room under repair so cannot comment on dinner, but fine breakfast.

Loud construction notice was disappointing.Posted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: Linens and towels; charm and ambiance.
Cons: Assure of hot water for guest's showers.
Location: It was a bit further from the action of South Beach than we expected but, overall, the location was fine.
The 2 reasons I gave the comfort level of the hotel a "3" for OK was because at 7 am was because the construction began outside our window and woke each one of us. It was pretty loud and annoying and awakened each one of us. Also, showers were taken at about 8:30 am and there was absolutely no hot water for any of us. It was very disappointing. Otherwise, the linens and towels were white, crisp and very nice quality....a tell tale sign of a better than average hotel. We stayed in Rm 31 with 2 queen beds, just as we were expecting.

I had a very nice experience at the hotel. The room was well appointed, the restaurant was very good and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The location on Collins Avenue across from the beach is great for going to the beach or walking.

Pros: Convenient location and the night doorman was very polite and helpful.
Cons: Se above.
Location: See above
Very late check in, night staff warned by phone, very receptive as was the night security when we arrived. Although when we checked out just four hours later with the same lady from our check-in she presented us with the a very large bill for someone who had been there for 3 days! Room very clean and well-presented, if a little cramped around the bed (only one bedside table and lamp probably for this reason); too much furniture other unnecessary furniture for a room that size. Disappointed that there was no coffee in room; needed it for our early get up and restaurant not open for another two hours. Overall design/layout/feel reminiscent of the many Spanish pensións that we have stayed at in Europe, so full marks for that. Would have liked to try the breakfast to see what the food was like but our timeline precluded this, shame. Beware of 2 things (not the hotel's fault!); location of this and presumably most other hotels is directly under Miami international flight path, for the record the last plane of the day thundered overhead at about 02:15 and the first one of the next (same!) day at 05:45; light sleepers bring earplugs! Road noise pretty loud too, but that's pretty much standard for such a central location from experience. Beware nearest available carpark (no hotel facility for this) opposite charges $1 a minute! from 08:00-18:00 overnight parking free, so we got away with it but others may not. Handy for the convention center where we had to be for business.

Nice hotel but beware of valet parkingPosted Jan 3, 2015 on Hotels.com
Generally a good experience. The hotel is lovely and about a 30 min walk from south beach attractions. The breakfast is delicious too (though expensive). One severe negative though was that a couple of chocolate bars in our car mysteriously dissapeared when under the care of the hotels valet parking.. Though I am not so bothered about the loss of some chocolate, the fact that they were hidden away in the glove compartment means that the culprit must have deliberately searched the car. Thank god we didn't leave any money or valuables behind!

Fantastic Boutique HotelPosted Nov 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
LOVED this little boutique hotel! Stopped to experience the Miami Beach area and found this a perfect spot to see the beaches, visit the tourist areas, but far enough away for some peace and quiet. Hotel was gorgeous and staff was extremely helpful, fun to talk with, and accommodated any needs we may have had. We have already referred others to this destination and will continue to do so. Thank you for a great little stop/stay.

It is all about the People providing Services...Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Staff was very helpful
Cons: Unrecognizable from the street, no number, name is challenging to see from a car. Steps, no ramp for baggage roll up.
Location: short walk to beach so the hotel is "Small"
Casa Clarion was being remodeled, it is still a very beautiful "Small" hotel. The noise, dust, were overcome by a wonderful staff. Walls are thin, you get to know your neighbors well. The rooms are beautiful well appointed, great beds.. Area Rugs in lobby and in rooms are slip and fall traps. Still gets a 5
