Beautiful suites, great location
Posted Jan 13, 2013
Pros: Great room, great location, rooftop pool with beautiful view
Location: Tons of restaurants, can ride bikes/run in park across the street, minutes from the beach
Our suite was beautiful, spacious, comfortable. Great location on Ocean Drive. Minutes from the beach. Nice view from rooftop hotel. Pool is small but it didn't effect us much since we were so close to the beach as well. Staff was pleasant, not overly friendly but we didn't need much help/advice. Had we asked, they probably would've helped. Very nice overall stay. They are in the middle of some construction so the lobby was very small and we had to enter on the side of the building. I'm excited to return when their construction is completed and the entrance is in the front of the building and will probably be much nicer.

Need to work on cleansiness.

Pros: The size of the room, felt like an apartment.
Cons: The upkeep of the hotel was poor.
Location: The location was perfect. Beach across the street, dining and restaurants steps away.
I stayed at this hotel for one night and was VERY disappointed in the upkeep of the hotel especially for the cost. The lobby was small and disappointing. The hotel itself was not very clean overall. Now let me say the room itself was a pleasant surprise. It was surprisingly huge, felt like an apartment. Location of this hotel is great. The restaurants and beach are steps away. I stayed next door at the Bentley Hotel for the 2 nights and that was worth every penny and more. Loved it next door. I won't be staying here again.

Good for couples or families, plenty of space
Posted Jan 28, 2013
Pros: Space, light and archtecture
Cons: Noise from Ocean Drive
Location: Very good
We had 3 nights in the Casanova Suites and were very pleasantly surprised at the size of the suite, the daily cleaning, the great location. We had been a little worried it may be small and dark, not a bit and the reception looked after us superbly, nothing seemed too much trouble and they were very charming.

Good value on Ocean Drive
Posted Jan 12, 2013
Pros: Location, space
Cons: Air conditioning unit
Location: Excellent
I had booked Casanova Suites many months in advance and considered switching my reservation many times due to negative reviews. However, although I can understand the negative reviews I'm very glad that my family stayed here. The entrance is very insignificant and the lobby is simply a walk through to a lift. We had a two bedroom suite and two bathrooms with a small balcony overlooking Ocean Drive and the ocean - premium location. However, it was noisy until after midnight due to the restaurants and bars in the area along Ocean Drive. Our suite was extremely spacious, beds very clean and comfortable and maid service each day was excellent. The air conditioning unit was extremely noisy and ancient but it worked well. The suite gave me the impression that when initially established it was beautifully furnished but through time anything that has been replaced has been done so to a much lesser standard. There is a small rooftop pool with loungers and pool towels available but when the beach is just a walk across the road this isn't an issue. Overall however, Casanova Suites served our purpose very well. The staff were friendly and helpful, the location was superb and if you want extra frills and finishing touches in South Beach Miami these are available elsewhere - at considerably higher cost!

Pros: The staff and location.
Cons: The mold and the alley entrance.
Location: Directly across from the beach, many stores surrounding to enhance retail life and a few blocks away are clubs and nightlife. Great location!
First the entrance is not the entrance in the picture but a non-working door in the alley on the left. The rooms are spoken about in previous reviews as being fairly spacious, unfortunately I do not believe this to be so I was expecting much more room. Anywho, there was mold on the floors in the rooftop pool, the lobby is small and unpleasant. The room however is quite clean, as well as the linen, furniture and bedding. The staff was extremely accomadating as well. Overall, the experience wasn't terrible but my expectations which honestly were not that high were not at all met.

Caution
Posted Jan 26, 2013
The property is under construction and remodeling that will take a few more months. The name on the building is different than what was advertised on expedia, made it real difficult to find. The valet service was not identified either, more confusion. The room was partially remodeled which was a let down. The bed was uncomfortable. And the room smelled musty and of mildew, yuck. I noticed the A/C unit was leaking water and notified the staff and they said it was fine. Not the right answer, staff was horrible.

Perfect Suite, Perfect Location
Posted Jan 5, 2013
Pros: The full kitchen with oven/microwave and dishwasher, the beach view, the location, and of course the walk-in closet
Cons: the path to enter the hotel
Location: Loveddddddd that the hotel was right on Ocean Drive. The beach was across the street, the night life minutes away, and airport less than 30 mins away.
We stayed on the 5th Fl(501), 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen and a balcony suite. We had more than enough room and space for all of us, plus when we had a guest, the couch turns into a sofa bed, still leaving us with plenty of space. The hotel is conveniently located right on Ocean Drive surround by restaurants, and libation. There is a convenience store, a liquor store, and banks all a block away. Absolutely loved my stay and room! At around 6pm one of the restaurants downstairs on the street plays music. It didn't bother us nor was it too loud. The walk-in closet in the kingsize bed-room is huge. The rooftop pool is not the biggest, but the view was amazing. We didn't come to Miami to stay in the hotel pool so we honestly didn't care. The few times that we did call the front desk for whatever reason, we were assisted right away. The entrance, however, is a bit deceitful. It's a path/ramp leading to the side of the building, between 2 restaurants. Be careful walking in heels!! One of the girls in my group scrapped her knee walking down the slight ramp in shoes. Overall, if I could make more frequent trips I would to this hotel. I will def be coming back!!!

Love MIAMI!

Pros: Location.
Cons: The kitchen had no stove.
Location: Right at the centre of the main strip, 100m from the beach.
Great location, but if you want peace and quiet during the night then book away from the main strip!

Great location but hard to find the front entrance; be prepared. Beautiful suite that came with everything but bathrobes and newspaper which were advertised when booked. Front desk was pleasantly manned but this is not your typical hotel with a front desk, so quality of service was very minimal. Perfect for what we were looking for. Had a balcony right on Ocean Drive which was pretty entertaining,

No one told us the lobby was closed for renovations. We had to go through the basement.
