Staff were not very helpful and cleaning was an issue. I spent 6 nights. Every morning at 8:15am I would get a wake up call which I never requested (I was on Vacation) and upon requesting it on the reception they never believed me and said I should change the settings. Housekeeping only emptied trash cans when I requested and never gave us more supplies such as soap - only after I requested on the 4th day. Front desk personnel unfriendly and unwilling to assist. Pool are with awful service - always long wait even when it’s not crowded.

One huge mistake that I made by choosing this property is watching and listening to the hype on Youtube about this place. Here are the good qualities this property has...Very convenient location on South Beach and very walkable, beds are some of the most comfortable I have ever slept in, staff is very friendly and professional, Love the rooftop terrace that has tremendous views of South Beach and they also give you two free bottles of water daily which I think is a nice touch. Now the low points and negatives...In the bathroom the sink fixtures are very wobbly and are not secured down on the surface of the vanity, no fridge, no ice bucket or ice machine on property. When you walk the hallways, there is a smell and I mean it's not a bad smell but it's not really pleasant either. Also, I was talking to another guest of the property and I was told by this guest that when they arrived and checked in the day before I did, they had witnessed some people selling drugs on the front doorstep going into the lobby. And last but not least let me talk about the onsite sports bar they have called KUSH. Food is very overpriced and not that good. I go back another night and was going to have some drinks outside and could not even get a server to my table in fifteen minutes of waiting. This place is a wannabe, Hooters. The only high point about this place is the scenery in there was nice but other than that...Avoid this place like the plaque. South Beach has better options.

When we arrived to our room the sheets was dirty with what appears to be blood or make up. Towels wasn't clean. We paid for a VIP room on the 5th floor beach view but was transferred to the 2nd because the other room was clean properly

The rooms were small but clean and staff were amazing. They answered questions and were accommodating. The location of the hotel was the best part. It was convenient to enjoy many activities from the beach, to dancing and eating meals. Overall, really enjoyed the short stay and would come back.

They never cleaned the sheets on the bed after multiple request. Elevator not working, front desk not friendly, couldn’t find beach chairs/location. Dirty floors, Windows, beddings, stair case. They will not give you toilet paper unless requested and clean towels.

We stayed in the hotel during spring break so it was very loud and crowded. The room was clean but the hotel itself was older (art deco). The staff was very friendly (Michelle at the front desk was great)! The pool is really small so you won’t be able to swim and relax as it’s more used for partying but the beach is close. If you want to be close to restaurants and all action, location is great, however id you’re looking to relax a more quieter location and a hotel with a bigger pool would be a better option.

My recent stay was a nightmare from start to finish. Despite arriving early and politely asking for our bags to be held, we were told there was no room, only for another guest to be allowed to store their luggage moments later. We ended up lugging our bags around while we waited, which was inconvenient and uncomfortable. When we were finally able to check in, our room wasn’t ready, despite booking the Rockstar suite for a three-day stay. The hallways smelled awful, and once we got to our room, we found the shower situation to be extremely impractical and caused the whole restroom floor to flood. The TV didn’t work, and overall, the room was not up to par. After a frustrating night, we decided to check out early. However, we were met with resistance from the front desk staff, particularly a gentleman named Stone, who initially said we couldn’t check out early. After persisting, we were eventually allowed to leave, with Stone instructing us to speak to the manager, Joel, for further assistance. The next day, after multiple attempts to contact Joel, we were told conflicting information by a representative and were ultimately denied a refund for the remaining two nights. Despite Expedia’s attempts to reach the hotel, they were unable to get a response, and we were left without a resolution. Overall, our experience at the cleavelander was incredibly disappointing. The lack of communication, poor customer service, and subpar accommodations made for a truly unpleasant.

The staff wasn’t overly friendly. They advertised free drinks upon arrival and they didn’t have any available. There wasn’t a remote for the TV in our room. Not that this is the property’s fault but there was a huge party outside our room until 5:00 in the morning so we didn’t sleep much that night. The hotel was fairly nice but definitely not 5 star.

This was our second time at this property and on this particular stay we used it as a place to crash before a cruise. It was fine for those purposes but we didn’t really have time to use any of the amenities so the resort fee was a waste. We weren’t wowed by anything here but if you need a place to stay this property is fine.
