Nice hotel close to the beach.Extra charges thoughPosted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Loved the location and the pool on the roof. I could sit out there staring at the beach all day.
Cons: Customer Service, additional fees that do not reflect what you receive. The towels are dingy and not big enough for a day at the beach.
Location: Close to everything, clubs along Washington Ave, Great food just don't have to eat on the strip either. Close to Lincoln Road Mall
This hotel was nice. My husband and I had not been here in 4 years, it used to be phenomenal. Upon check in there were new fees and the hotel was under construction so the check in was outside. We were then assigned a room that had mold in the room in which we had to make them aware and therefore assigned to a new room. The beach towels are awful and they no longer offer beach chairs as an inclusive although you are charged $21.50 per person per day. They had a "not so happy hour on the wonderful rooftop which was suppose to include free drinks however the bartender was not a please with the decision, he always gave a hard time and it and acted as if it were a problem. We loved the location but they are going to have to upgrade their services. I think they are becoming like the rundown hotels that are located on Ocean Drive. It may be time to go further down the block or try a different hotel. This used to be the place to tell all my friends to go but I may have to rethink this.

Great place to see the party side of south beach. Great room and staff was very helpful. They were doing reno's to main desk area and would have liked to have know. 5 story building. Main floor is resturant/bar. Parties go till 2-3 am. Would not recommend for young kids. Main beach just feet away which is great

Quaint hotel in jumping part of the strip!Posted Oct 2, 2014
Pros: We had an ocean-side room on the second floor, so we could see the beach, which was nice, but we really loved people-watching on the street below.
Cons: Don't ask for a rollaway - we made that mistake and got a filthy dilapitated springbox - no mattress. And, they charge extra for it.
Location: Our best activity was a catamaran ride where we got to swim in the ocean - lots of fun. Rooftop pool is a nice place to hang out.
Seriously, the beat of the clubs and the buzz of the restaurants on the strip go until 4;00 AM, so earplugs are a necessity if you plan to sleep. If you're the one out there partying, you can leave those behind! We went with our adolescent kids, and while we loved the close beach access and view from our room, it got a little crazy with the alcohol scene - all drinks are 64 ounces and its ALWAYS Happy Hour! If you have small kids, stay away from the strip. The room was really great - nice king size bed with two closets and a dresser. The kitchenette was very handy, as we always had leftovers from restaurants to eat the next day, and we cooked breakfast in our room each day.

ExcellentPosted Sep 30, 2014
Cons: Attention: the hotel charges you a fee of $12.5 + taxes PER PERSON AND PER NIGHT!!!!! Very annoying when you check-in (not included on expedia bill)!!
We stayed there for a weekend (3 people). The hotel is right where everything happens. Its on ocean drive, so right in front of the beach. The hotel room had microwave, stove, fridge, dishwasher and a pull up couch in the living room and since we got a suite, our room was separate for privacy when someone is sleeping on the couch. The hotel has happy hour from 5-6pm everyday, which means free drinks. The hh happens on the rooftop by the pool and the view is completely amazing. They had a party on Sunday afternoon with a live dj, so that was a lot of fun to hang out at the pool before our flight leaves. Also, its very loud at night since everything is happening on the street. It didn't bother us at all since we got back to the hotel late every night and exhausted.

Close to the action and the beachPosted Sep 25, 2014
The hotel staff were all helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the complimentary glass of sangria while they checked us in. Room was exactly as pictured. Bedding was very comfortable. This is a great place to stay if you want to be close to all the nightlife and the beach. However you need to understand that because it is so close to everything, you will hear music from the street late into the night. Picked up towels at the front desk to go swimming at the beach in the morning - which is right across the street. Would definitely stay again.

Mold HotelPosted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Across from the beach. Decent decor.
Cons: New Carpeting. Any security at the courtyard entrance that was dimly lit right out on the street. Fix gate so it closes.
Location: Beach, Lots of shopping and places to eat.
I am not the complaining type nor is my wife but the room we stayed in had a really awful mold smell. (and we were on the 2nd floor) We did not complain until we left because we where only in town for 2 nights and we were out most of the time. The first night we dropped our stuff off and dint get back until 1:30 am. The room also had a fresh layer of paint or stain on the wood which was oil based and still sticky to the touch at every door. The room we were in was separate from the front desk and we had to walk out on the street through a outdoor restaurant where the staff would bug you to eat each time we walked by. The courtyards to our building had poor security with a gate and a keypad lock that we had to enter a code. Most of the time it was open as well as the entrance to the rooms because the elevator was broken so they had to leave the locked stair open because it was not part of the room card key. When we were leaving the women at the desk did not seem to care too much (in between her texts) about the condition. We were only let them know for the next guest.

South Beach visitPosted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: Location for sure
Ok... so I get it... you're staying in South Beach because you want to be close to the beach and all the action. If that's your goal this is a good choice. BUT, you can't have all that and get a great deal of rest either. Being right next to the Clevelander with the DJ thumping it out until all hours... well let's just say you won't rest easy.
