Close to beach not for familiesPosted Nov 23, 2014
Pros: Proximity to beach and central south beach.
Cons: Sofa bed confort and need small dining table.
Location: Very good location central to many activities, tours, bike rental, art deco area, bars and restaurants.
Located close to the beach on Ocean Drive this hotel is OK for party goer's but not intended for families. The strip is very loud until 2h30AM and diminishes the overall experience. Rooms are very small, sofa bed is minimalist but kitchen is functional.

Great location. Not so great amenitiesPosted Nov 18, 2014
On the main strip but room was quiet. Staff was courteous and accommodating. Charging guesta to sit in a poolside cabana instead of first come, first served seems a bit ridiculous. But I guess you can't have it all.

OCEAN DRIVE HOTELPosted Nov 7, 2014
Pros: The location, who wouldn't love that view of the Atlantic Ocean.
Cons: No improvements
Location: Everything at your fingertips, restaurants, bars, buses, post office, nice walks. Beach over the road, what else could you want.
Congress Hotel is ideally placed on Ocean Drive. Fabulous views of the Atlantic Ocean. Brilliant for a stroll along the long stretch of pathways, right by the beach. Hotel Congress rooms are large comfortable and well equipped, the large bathrooms have a big bath tub and rainfall shower, both brilliant. Roof top pool with views of the ocean are a must. Location easy for access to Collins Ave and Washington. Lots of restaurants and bars, just be careful in the restaurants, sometimes they don't quite understand you, especially if you are English. Will cost you. don't let that put you off though. Worth a visit.

Congress HotelPosted Nov 6, 2014
The hotel was furnished vey nice. The staff was terrible. We felt like they could care less about our experience, The day staff was the worst, When we walked in they did not even make eye contact. This was our third year coming to South Beach and every other Hotel we stayed at in the past, made us feel welcome. We never felt welcome at the Congress.

AMAZING!!Posted Oct 21, 2014
five of my friends and me just came back from the congress hotel. I couldn't say enough positive things about this hotel. The staff were the greatest and super helpful! Stephanie at the front desk worked some magic and was able to get our rooms next to each other. This hotel is In the PERFECT location! I loved it! I can't wait to book it again next October!

Nice hotel close to the beach.Extra charges thoughPosted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Loved the location and the pool on the roof. I could sit out there staring at the beach all day.
Cons: Customer Service, additional fees that do not reflect what you receive. The towels are dingy and not big enough for a day at the beach.
Location: Close to everything, clubs along Washington Ave, Great food just don't have to eat on the strip either. Close to Lincoln Road Mall
This hotel was nice. My husband and I had not been here in 4 years, it used to be phenomenal. Upon check in there were new fees and the hotel was under construction so the check in was outside. We were then assigned a room that had mold in the room in which we had to make them aware and therefore assigned to a new room. The beach towels are awful and they no longer offer beach chairs as an inclusive although you are charged $21.50 per person per day. They had a "not so happy hour on the wonderful rooftop which was suppose to include free drinks however the bartender was not a please with the decision, he always gave a hard time and it and acted as if it were a problem. We loved the location but they are going to have to upgrade their services. I think they are becoming like the rundown hotels that are located on Ocean Drive. It may be time to go further down the block or try a different hotel. This used to be the place to tell all my friends to go but I may have to rethink this.

Nice but loudPosted Oct 6, 2014
Great place to see the party side of south beach. Great room and staff was very helpful. They were doing reno's to main desk area and would have liked to have know. 5 story building. Main floor is resturant/bar. Parties go till 2-3 am. Would not recommend for young kids. Main beach just feet away which is great
