The hotel has fallen into disrepair

Posted Apr 18, 2015
I'll start by saying I've watched this hotel go downhill over the last decade. I've stayed here at least 10 times. Valet parking was full so had to park in a dirt lot across the street. No carts available to take luggage to your room. First floor room we were given had no AC and no warning that there was no AC on that wing of the hotel. After 4 hours we were assigned a new room. Commode stopped up. Went to find a blunger. Housekeeping didn't have one. Building Engineering didn't have one. Finally found a cleaning lady that had to 'steal' the only one. Shower had two of three working knobs. No way to adjust temperature. Montreal BBQ, Resturant on site, was passable. Ice machines have dwindled down to just one on the third floor. You can't stop the flow of ice once it finally starts. Bed was uncomfortable. Never again. Never,

Our 4th stay at Days Thunderbird

Posted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: We like everything about this hotel.
Location: Right on the ocean; across Collins Avenue from Publix, CVS, and a large plaza with beauty salon, many different restaurants, real estate office...
Others may look for luxury, but for us, being right on the ocean, every room having any outdoor "patio," and the close proximity to a shopping and dining area, far outweigh the luxury of much more expensive hotels.

Horrible service. Old hotel.

Rude front desk agent no open spots for valet should have been free. The valet parked cars on curbs of the porches. Loud noise all night.

great location

Posted Mar 14, 2015
Pros: location
Cons: staff could be instilled with a better attitude
Location: beach, golf, pool, shopping, dining
aside from the poor parking there is no need to travel often............quite a bit to be had just within walking distance

Best attribute was its location in Sunny Isles!

Posted Mar 12, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Hot water and the air conditioning.
Location: Across the street from a strip mall that had 7 different kinds of restaurants. Best ice cream shop in town. Great pizza too!
Good location, half a mile from Aventura Mall. Good ocean front. Property a little dated. Could use some upgrading, which would probably double its rate. Good if all you want to do is sleep in the room. Otherwise, the hot water pressure was skimpy. Again, you get what you pay for. A good price.

Low cost, beach front hotel

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: Right on the beach. Clean room, Wi-Fi is free.
Cons: 1. Free breakfast would be nice. 2. Was a bit noisy in the late evening.
Location: Beach, beach, beach. Not that far from the airport and shopping
You get good value for the price. The room is clean. Good TV channel selection and free Internet access. The bar downstairs was quite noisy at night, something to consider for travelers with small kids. Overall good impression.

Close to the beach.

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: Near the beach.
Cons: Change the picture of the hotel to the real gold picture instead of a beautiful tall building. Show the actual rooms. Bathroom could use a update.
Location: The location was great. But I was mislead to the hotel in its fullest.
The picture on expedia of the hotel was not the actual outside picture of the hotel. No towels in the hotel. No hot water. Room was suppose to be a beach front view. The room could use some painting and the ceiling also. One of the worse hotels I've been in. Would not recommend it to no one.

Pros: Location, location, location.
Cons: Elevator out of order while we were there.
Sunrise over the Atlantic from the window--what more can one ask?
