The worst nightmare...!!!Posted Jun 27, 2015
Cons: Everything, from staff to building
Location: Location is good
I'm used to go to affordable hotels, but this place was a nightmare. The room was dirty, mostly the bath tub. You can see the dark dirty stuff on top of it, plus sand from previous customers. Nothing was in working order, Air conditioning not cold enough, electrical outlets worn out, the bath tub was not only clogged, but the faucet didn't work. After the first night, I asked to be changed to a room in working order. They did, and they looked at me like it's something that happens all the time. Next room was bad too, not so much bu the shower wasn't working...The maintenance guy came and said they would change it the next day, in the meantime..."I have to find the right point to shut it off..." Seriously...?? I asked to cancel the stay and noticed other people with the same problem; furthermore, one single mom ended having a fight with the guy with a pony tale at the front desk (who has no idea of manners or it's so used to this kind of poor situations that he doesn't care) called the police department and two cops ended supervising the checking out scene of this poor woman...Who happened to have the same type of problems I did and was leaving early too. There's one restaurant/bar next tot he pool and beach and unless you're a smoker, you can't go in there or you'll get a lung cancer...People smoking inside like they don't care... Besides all this, for coming from Expedia, you get the worst located rooms, no breakfast (when others get it) so I don't see the benefit at all.

Worst hotel I've stayed on in a while...Posted Jun 17, 2015
Rooms were dirty! I cleaned ketchup out of the room table myself right after checking in. Had to move rooms twice. The ceiling of the first room had dropped into the bathtub and the second room didn't have water. Would NOT recommend staying here.

Pros: Beach and pool are nice.
Cold rooms, can't adjust air. Staff OK, but could be friendlier.

No frills, old school spot on beachPosted Jun 10, 2015
I was looking for something inexpensive and right on the beach and I found it. This hotel is classic, vintage and some would say needs updating. It doesn't compare to the gigantic mega hotels surrounding it, and I like that charm. It is very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. I would go back to this hotel next time I was in the area, If it is still in existence, seeing as there is so much scaling up going on in the neighborhood.

Customer service poorPosted Jun 7, 2015
Pros: location- near the beach
Cons: customer service and room comfort
The staff was the most rude, our room had a thermostat which was just a dummy. When I called the front desk to ask them about turning down the A/C. She sounded so offended that I even asked. She proceeded to tell me that the A/C was central and that if they adjust mine it will affect all the other rooms. I was shocked that this still happens in this day and age.

One of the old Beauty on the beach.Posted May 16, 2015
Pros: as above
Cons: Keep elevators floor during the day dry and clean out some sand!
Location: Publix grocery and Walgreen's just across the street, nice!
Much more convenience, for beach users, than nearby highrises! Easy out of the room, seconds You on the Sun.Needs go to room, just another seconds. Morning breakfast very nice, and charges reasonable. Valet stuff super quick and friendly. We are visitors to Thunderbird for several years now,and wish to come back!

Not up to acceptable standardsPosted Apr 19, 2015
Pros: The valet parking staff were courteous and prompt.
Cons: A complete remodel
Location: Good location for Sunny Isles
Room is old and drab though bed was comfortable. Drain ring on bath tub was loose from drain and sitting on the side of the drain pipe. If you looked in the drain the pipe was clogged almost 100% which accounted for the water during my shower filling up in the tub to my ankles. One light was out in the bathroom fixture and the sliding lock to the door was broken and unusable. Fortunately the deadbolt was working. There is no way the house keeping staff could miss any of these items, so they either did not report it or management did not care.

The hotel has fallen into disrepairPosted Apr 18, 2015
I'll start by saying I've watched this hotel go downhill over the last decade. I've stayed here at least 10 times. Valet parking was full so had to park in a dirt lot across the street. No carts available to take luggage to your room. First floor room we were given had no AC and no warning that there was no AC on that wing of the hotel. After 4 hours we were assigned a new room. Commode stopped up. Went to find a blunger. Housekeeping didn't have one. Building Engineering didn't have one. Finally found a cleaning lady that had to 'steal' the only one. Shower had two of three working knobs. No way to adjust temperature. Montreal BBQ, Resturant on site, was passable. Ice machines have dwindled down to just one on the third floor. You can't stop the flow of ice once it finally starts. Bed was uncomfortable. Never again. Never,

Lo que hace el desatino de un empleado.Posted Mar 25, 2015 on Hotels
