In need of update/cleaning

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Hotel was close to beach, lobby is nice but smelled of really strong chemicals, rooms are very outdated and not the cleanest. Was very noisy all thru the night. Staff at tiki bar was rude. Pool was delightful. Good was very good.

Eenvoudig hotel dicht bij het strand. Kamers zijn ook eenvoudig maar je kunt er goed slapen.

nice hotel relatively close to south beach

Posted Jul 17, 2015
Pros: What i like the most of this hotel was that i did not have to wait until 4pm for my check in.
Cons: the beds, the cleanliness of the room
Location: south beach is relatively close, also one of the best clubs in miami is 5 minutes away
I had quite a good experience at this hotel. I love the fact that i didn't have to wait for my check in, as soon as i came in the lady who was working there, was able to help me. the pool is really nice and clean, the hotel also offers free coffee or tea. What I didn't like was that the elevator was not working the last day i was there, so i had to wait like 30 minutes to take my luggage down. But overall i had a good experience.

Cozy, Clean Hotel on the Beach with a Great Staff

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: -Friendly staff, great atmosphere in the lobby and at the pool/bar/patio area that leads to the boardwalk -Clean room, air conditioning, large closet
Cons: -More staff at the pool bar where you can order food/drinks (a little slow) -More parking options
Location: This hotel is in mid-beach (quieter, more family-friendly) but close to South Beach and only 15-20 min drive to downtown Miami, Little Havanna, etc.
I recently visited Miami Beach for a girls trip with my mom and we were thoroughly impressed with the Day's Inn. We weren't really expecting much from a cheaper hotel chain but it was on the beach and had a pool so we figured we would give it a try, and we're so glad we did! We had an early flight and arrived to the hotel around 8:30 a.m. even though check-in isn't until 3. The staff was pleasant and accommodating and was able to get us a room within 10 minutes. Our room was clean with a beautiful view of the pool and ocean. Air conditioning worked great which is a must. We did have to pay $10 a day for a fridge but it was worth it. Other hotels in the area had similar fees for a fridge so this isn't uncommon. The pool/bar/patio area that leads onto the boardwalk was SO nice and clean. Always plenty of chairs and space at the pool and it was a very relaxing environment both for families or otherwise. Even though the hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, the lobby is welcoming and quaint. It really made us feel at home every time we came back. The ONLY downside I would mention is parking but this is a problem everywhere in Miami Beach. The Day's Inn has a small lot for $30 a day or you can park in a garage and get your ticket validated by the hotel for around the same amount. We got pretty lucky with street parking which is a lot cheaper but it was stressful at times. I would recommend not getting a rental car and using other means for transportation if you can!

Horrible

Posted Jun 22, 2015
When I arrived they had cancelled my reservation because I didn't arrive between 3-4 check in time. Then they said they couldn't use my Expedia card because they needed to swipe it like a credit card. Then they still went ahead and charged me on my Expedia and my actual debit card.

Happy Birthday

Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: Location, Location
Cons: No continental breakfast, for a family of 4 $12 each equals $48 too expensive
Location: Parked the car and used public transportation or walked.
Wanted to have a staycation with the family on budget and that's what I got. Pool, beach and Miami, the weather was overcast but never rained, pricey but enjoyed every minute.
