Great value in South BeachPosted Aug 28, 2014
The Dorchester was a great value for our stay in South Beach. Good location right on Collins Avenue, just a block from the beach and walking distance to lots of good shops/restaurants. The property is quaint and well-maintained with a nice pool and tropical landscaping all around the building. Nothing too flashy, but you get a clean room, convenient beach access, and a friendly staff. I would definitely recommend to others.

Pleasantly SurprisedPosted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Pool Suite space Close proximity to the beach
Cons: Cost of drinks are too high at this hotel
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The facility is a lot nicer than i thought it would be. its safe to say that i would definitely return. The suites are a very good size. Its my new home away from home in South Beach. What I did not like was that Expedia was a little misleading when I booked the room. I read it was either a 2-double bed or 1-king bed room. When I booked the room i requested a double. when I got to the hotel. it was a king. The hotel said that it was to the discretion of the hotel assign the room. The bed request, is just that... a request... not a guarantee I did have a couple of not so positive encounters with random staff. I mean, if you see 3 women with large suitcases and multiple carry on bags in their hands, its rude to push through them to get through the hotel door. There was no courtesy what so ever when it came to door holding. SMH The front desk people were pleasant. Pool was nice. wish they had more space for lounges.

Not BadPosted Jul 7, 2014
Location: Great location!!
Overall it was a good experience. We requested a rollaway bed for a last minute guest and they could never figure out how to get us one even though they said they would.

The room is very small they Don't like to give you towels alot of hidden fees in the price...parking resort fee and a $200 deposit this hotel was the worst!!

Rooms are small and the A/C is loud. For one night it was fine. Staff was really nice.

Reasonably priced in good locationPosted May 15, 2014
Pros: Nice pool and pool area, also liked the outside courtyard area.
Cons: General quality of the hotel - it felt quite shabby. Our room felt on the small side.
Location: Good location, close to the beach with lots of bars and restaurants nearby.
The hotel fulfilled it's purpose, e.g. Providing a place to sleep located close to the beach and lots of the action. However, I was disappointed by the small size of the rooms and the fact that everything felt in need of an upgrade.

Miami Beach ClassicPosted May 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
The title means the you can expect the following: smelly and dank rooms and hallways, noisy air conditioners, internet for a ridiculous daily rate and the bogus 'resort charge' that is NOT included in your Hotels.com price. If you need to be by the Miami Beach Convention Center, book elsewhere. There are better for less money.
