Not as good as I thought

When I arrived, I was told the fitness room was under renovations so if we wanted to use a gym, we had to go to the hotel across the street. They could have mentioned this when I was looking to make reservations. There is a card in the washroom listing the complimentary services available should you need anything ie shampoo, phone charger etc. When I called for more Kleenex and shampoo, not only did it take awhile for someone to answer the phone, the items never arrived. I had a pedicure at the spa in the hotel and the esthetician wasn't very friendly. It was the fastest pedicure I've ever had and she did a good job, but I'm paying for the experience (being pampered, friendly service etc). You are required to pay an 18% gratuity for all spa services as well as at the restaurants in the hotel. I disagree with this. A gratuity is EARNED. I don't mind paying 18% if the esthetician earned it, but I would have left less. Overall, I will return to Miami but will stay at another hotel. I won't come back to EPIC.

Hotel with limited facilities tied to Kimpton.

Pros: Staff were helpful and friendly. Location.
Cons: The room rate should not require an additional $25 to use the sauna - charged per day unless you have a treatment. Food overpriced and only OK.
Location: Free trolley & monorail - great for the wonderful Perez Art Museum & its restaurant, Verde. Whole Foods a block from the hotel: great coffee place!
The hotel is centrally located in Downtown Miami and staff were friendly. The hotel's "restaurants" are limited: other than the one hotel restaurant @ 31 on the 16th floor, you have Zuma - an independent, expensive sushi place ($65 minimum for Sunday brunch) and a bar called Lilt which is closed Sundays and Mondays. Pool area is fine unless there is any wind - on the 16th floor you'll feel windswept unless the weather is totally calm. There is no other sheltered place to sit outside. Poor design. The spa is not Kimpton's: despite being a resident of the hotel, they wanted to charge $25 to use the sauna. Spa treatment appointment times were not respected, annoying when you arrange your day according to scheduled times. Robert is an amazing massage therapist.

LILT offers some incredible champagne cocktails, I hope you had a chance to try them out. I am sorry to hear that you felt a disconnect between EPIC and Kimpton. We do maintain all of our brand programs here on property. Hopefully we will have a chance to prove this to you the next time you are in Miami.

Pricey Ballet Parking Services

Nice View , Good Restaurants and Good Staff. The only issue is there is a lot cars in the ballet pariinkg and have to wait a lot to get the card beside that is so expensive

É daqueles hotéis onde se procura agradar o hóspede. Nos deram um late check out. Quando demorou o carro no valet, pediram desculpas e não cobraram o pernoite. No mais, excelente. Principalmente para quem está de carro, já que se situa junto a área empresarial de Miami .

Awesome hotel, The view is amazing, the pool is nice, the room is very clean, friendly and attentive staff, lunch at the restaurant was great as well as breakfast, I will most definitively recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxed stay at a luxury 5 star hotel.

You'll never want to leave!

Pros: The pool is absolutely the best part of the hotel.
Cons: There is not much room for improvement. I would add a vending machine area or a small canteen shop and a true sports bar with TVs for watching games.
Location: Easy walking to the American Airlines Arena, to several local restaurants, and shopping.
Everything about this hotel is pure heaven! From the beautiful pool on the 16th floor to the luxurious accommodations, this place is wonderful. Despite the many exciting things to do in the city of Miami, once you arrive at the Epic, you won't want to leave! The staff is friendly and attentive, the restaurant offers good food and the housekeeping team keeps the rooms spotless. Get a room on the river side of the hotel for the best view from your balcony.
