Close to the Fontainebleau

Posted May 22, 2015
We arrived at 2:20 at our room wasn't ready, we order at ocean view suite so we decided to go to the pool area and hang out we were told that check-in is 4 and they would call us if a room came available before then. So when we were trying to get to the pool we discovered that you had to walk through a maze due to the construction that was going on. The construction completely eliminated 2 of the pools due to the noise level going on. I waited until 4:30 to go back to the front desk to check on our room since no one had called. They proceeded to inform me that our room still wasn't available but they'd call housekeeping. About 15mins later we had a room, since I had seen the construction I asked for one not around that area. I was informed that construction was only 9-5 on weekdays and none on the weekends. So we arrived at our room to see a fantastic view of the ocean and pools with a large deck(but no chairs), so the bad part about the room is that it couldn't have been any closer the the construction. We were right on top of them! But I though 9-5 I'm ok, wish I would have known about the construction because I wouldn't have booked it but will make due. So we were getting ready for dinner and loud construction was still going on at 7:30 in the evening that's when I called the front desk and they apologize. So we on vacation and we sleep in Friday morning and. What time did loud construction start 8:17!!!! This is when I called the front desk again!

Construction and noise everyday

Posted May 18, 2015
I went several times to this hotel, I've always hired by Expedia , I stayed in the worst room I had ever stayed in, I asked for an upgrade ( expedia gold memnber ) but did not accept it at no charge. I was not warned of the major renovations being made much noise felt throughout the hotel . My worst experience in Miami. Never more will visit this hotel , also did not help me at all Expedia Gold Membership

Luxurious top end hotel

Posted May 9, 2015
Pros: everything
Cons: I can't think of anything I would change other than the extortionate prices for the beds and umberellas but that isn't down to the hotel
Location: Apart from the beach we didn't really explore nearby, you would have to go into town for your entertainment. Although there was live music in hotel
The Eden Roc Miami Beach is a truly luxurious hotel at the top end of the scale. It is a very busy and bustling hotel but that adds to the character of the place. There are 3 swimming pools on different levels and walking out of the back of the hotel takes you straight onto the beach. The staff are very friendly and chatty in particular the door men who are there to assist you in and out of the hotel and hail you a taxi should you need it. There were four of us on the trip so we'd booked a quad room. We were given the penthouse on the 15th floor overlooking the ocean. The room was big, airy and spacious. i.e. plenty big enough for the four of us to manage without stepping over each other or getting in each others way You are charged a resort fee of $21 per day which is for bathrobes, water and sunbeds but that is only for 2 people regardless of how many are in the room so we did have to pay extra for the sunbeds and the umberellas were an extra $19 each. However I don't think that is down to the hotel. The hotel is in a nice location with the front overlooking the bay with many luxury yachts moored there, so to go into town is a leisurely 40 min walk or about 15mins in a taxi which costs about $12. but don't let that put you off as it is nice not sitting on top of a town with all the noise and bustle that it brings. I would thoroughly recommend the Eden Roc Hotel for your stay in Miami. I'd go back there in a heart beat

A bit dated, going thru needed renovations

Posted May 9, 2015
Pros: The hotel lobby is gorgeous, the upstairs hallways have a cool, club-like feel, and the multiple pools and beach-front access are great amenities.
Cons: Finish the renovations and pay attention to less-trafficked areas of the hotel that are still visible to guests.
Overall I enjoyed staying at Eden Roc, however certain areas of the hotel felt a bit dated. Painted concrete was peeled off and faded throughout the pool area, the ice machine room was straight out of a creepy roadside motel, and there was construction going on throughout our stay. Don't get me wrong - the hotel lobby is gorgeous, the upstairs hallways have a cool, club-like feel, and the multiple pools and beach-front access are great amenities. I guess I just had slightly higher expectations given the price point.

oceanfront with balcony

Love the hotel. Beautiful view. Rainfall shower head. Jacuzzi tub double sink. My only issue was the valet ($42/nt) didn't bother to grab our bags when we arrived. Why would I want to unload my own vehicle. Unacceptable!
