Girls weekend away

Nice hotel overall. The lobby bar doubled up as the breakfast Buffett area, which I thought a little odd. Also arrived back at the hotel, hungry asked for room service, there was none!?!

A Great Stay!

Posted Nov 14, 2014
I was there to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday and we had a great time. The staff was excellent and the view was amazing. I would recommend this hotel as a place to stay and I would stay here again.

Stay Here -- if you have DEEP POCKETS.

Posted Nov 12, 2014
Pros: The boardwalk right outside the back gate.
Cons: The front desk's listening skills.
Location: You can walk all the way to South Beach via the boardwalk behind the hotel. There's a lot to do and see along the way plus South Beach itself.
I reserved with Expedia for a 4 night stay at $1,183.11. Eden Roc charged me $1,597.55. Just me, 1 room, 1 bed with no frills. Very disappointed as this way limited my going, eating out, and overall spending. I won't stay at Eden Roc ever!

Too expensive for what you get

Posted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: On the beach, clean rooms. The rooms in the new tower are in the shade all day.
We were not told the restaurant was under construction, they should built a bigger pool in the sun instead of 3 in the shade. Keep the adult pool but lower the music, could not have a conversation with anyone due to loud beat. Need an overall update of the entrance and Lobby.$38.00 for valet parking per night ??? at least give us an option to self park.

Weekend at the Eden Rock 11/14

Posted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: Has direct access to the beach Breakfast buffet. Personnel was helpful
Cons: Happy hour food menu.Common area restrooms.Bar at the lobby closes at midnight (should close later especially during the weekends).Update old rooms
Location: About 10-15 min in cab ride from The Espanola Way (restaurants) and Collins Ave. Next to the Fountainbleu Hotel (Good mojitos but expensive)
Me and 2 more friends spent the weekend at the Eden Rock. We had one of the rooms at the older tower. Not impressive, the curtains were horrible but the room was clean. We enjoyed being at the beach but they charged for the extra chair (eventhough the room was booked for 3 people) and the umbrella. Bar service at the beach was good but slow. The hotel needs a revamp. On friday there was no music. The common area restrooms (lobby & pool) are dated and dirty. The bar by the pool is also dated, it doesn't look inviting. Personnel was nice and helpful.

Run down and disappointing

Posted Nov 8, 2014
I'm disappointed in the decline in quality of this hotel. While I found most of the staff to be pleasant, some were definitely not. Our initial check-in personnel was indifferent - even after we announced it was our anniversary and that we'd stayed there on our honeymoon. Our room was dirty and the couch cushions tossled around. We went back to complain about the room and it took a while to come to a solution, but the manager eventually came and helped us out (our alternative was just to get a refund). Our new room was much nicer but still shabby. That really wasn't so bad compared to a staff member at the beach. She was walking back and forth checking the beach chairs (presumably to keep track of usage). I watched her go back and forth plenty of times and after my husband and I were laying out for about an hour, she approached me and asked if A. I was a guest and B. If I had proof of my purchase of an umbrella. Mind you, she asked no one else this question and she was acompanied by the staff member who set up our umbrella in the first place. After she left, my husband was livid. She didn't ask ANYONE else that question around us and there were plenty people who came both before and after we did. She made us feel like second class citizens when we paid fair and square like anyone else to be there. Our bartender was awesome and the valet guys too! It's unfortunate - but I won't stay here again.
