Great hotel close to beach

Our family really enjoyed our brief 3 night stay. The beach, pool and hot tubs were very nice. The adult only pool area was also nice except for the hot tub not being hot all. If you are looking for reasonably priced shopping malls, they are about a 30 minute drive away. There are a number of other hotels with restaurants in walking distance. This hotel's food was good but as usual, very expensive for room service and for the in room snacks. There is a refrigerator but would recommend adding a small microwave to the room as well. We had ocean front rooms and the views were simply gorgeous from our balconies.

Disappointing pool, restaurant and beach

Pros: Rooms are very nice, but bad lighting in the bathrooms... very dark. Concierge and Bellman services were very attentive
Cons: Open the pool bars when you open the pool! Or at least by 9 am. 11-12 is WAY too late. Add more chairs at the adult pool
Location: This area in Miami is extremely crowded... There are no nearby restaurants you can walk to... unless they are in neighboring hotels.
The hotel rooms are great... nice view, although in our corner 2 bedroom unit ~ small balcony. The pool is less than satisfactory... almost completely in the shade, and 2 very small pools FILLED with children. Unless you were downstairs by 8am ~ good luck finding a chair. The adult pool on the 7th floor was nice... but very limited chairs also. The biggest complaint is that neither of the two pool bars, or the lobby bar area were open until 11/12 noon. And, you are not allowed any outside beverages or food. So if you want any food or beverage you have to wait in a LONG line at the to-go pastry counter, or sit in the restaurant. And the F&B prices are outrageous!! $15 for a small frozen cocktail. Same situation at the beach. We were out by 8-9 the first 2 days and struggled to find a chair. On our 3rd day we got out the earliest at 7:45. There was no one at the beach... no attendants... no chairs. Took a 15 minute walk and when we returned it was a massive stampede of people grabbing chairs fighting for the very limited front row area. Ridiculous. It was like that EVERY day. You HAVE to pay $22 a day for 2 chairs and an umbrella, but unless you are out at dawn you are in the back row against the grassy area with NO view, and a constant stream of trucks & buggies driving by. Apparently having a 2 bedroom suite that sleeps 6ppl @ the $$$$ they charge does not allow for more than two chairs ~ you'll pay and extra $10 for that. Disappointing and very expensive.

The hotel itself was nice. And the pool and beach access were wonderful. What I didn't like was that the food/drink at the hotel was way overpriced. And on top of that, it cost 35.00/day to park there.

Sweet Beach Getaway!!

Location: Great walking/running trail along beach 1/2 block away... Excellent dining spots all about the area.
Excellent Location... Great Drinks, Professional Staff, clean rooms, perfect adult pool on 7th floor, sweet ocean!!

Affordable luxury hotel

Lovely pool area, beautifully landscaped and well maintained. The closest shops and restaurants are over a mile away, but the area seems safe, surrounded by other resort hotels. Close to a DecoBike rental station, cabs and Uber are always available. The king size mattress needed to be replaced but the queen sofa sleeper was surprisingly comfy. It would be nice to have a microwave in the room and higher quality coffee for the in room coffeemaker.

Comfortable but not 'luxury'

Cons: Room service, quality of furniture in guest suite, a kettle in guest suites.
Described as 'luxury' so disappointed to find the guest suite very basic, the bed uncomfortable and the room near a staircase used during the night. Ordered breakfast in suite but it never arrived. Valet parking odd - our car was parked near the entrance each day but we needed to stand in line to wait for the valet. Coffee/ pastry area lovely. Beach and pools lovely. Get to the loungers early - the staff work hard to ensure loungers are recycled but often guests leave towels on the loungers intending to return later. Most staff helpful and friendly but some 'reluctant' to take our order for drinks/food on the beach probably too busy finding loungers for guests. Public areas light bright and airy. Tried to organise car rental from the concierge. He quoted a huge amount for a car we eventually rented for less than half his quote + the $35 cab fare to collect it! A pleasant hotel for young families and a short get-away but quite a way to go before it is a 'luxury' establishment.
