“Good”

i loved this hotel. It´s true, there´s nothing around, but if you have a car the problem is solved. I recommend.

Area recommendations

If you have a car, stay close to airport. It´s cheaper, and the parking is free.

Shopping

dolphin mall, aventura mall e dadeland mall. You have to go.

“Miami”

“Below Average”

We stayed one night in a suite that looked okay at the first sight. Even though, they had openings in top level, they lied and gave us a suite in the first level. The next morning, toilet clogged and the flush out failed resulting in flooding.. They gave us a new room on the fourth level for few hours before our check out.... Breakfast is okay for the price paid.

“Definitely would go back”

We only stayed in this hotel for one night before our cruise but it was great. We arrived in Miami late (9pm) but they sent their free airport shuttle right away. Our room was very comfortable and the buffet breakfast was very good. We were also able to make arrangements easily to get to the port the next morning.

“Good for overnight between flights”

The hotel was fine, perfect for an overnight stay before catching another flight in the am. Sadly, we were not happy with the 40 minute wait for the shuttle from the hotel, especially after I mentioned to the driver that they must be busy tonight, and he said no, they weren't busy at all! Why did it take 40 minutes to pick us up for a 5 minute ride to the hotel then?? One suggestion that would improve the service would be to carry more frozen entrees in the little mini-mart for people arriving too late for dinner. We weren't impressed with the 2 things we had to choose from for our late dinner after a flight from California. One of the best things about this hotel is the fact that there is a mini-kitchen but without any food items available, it doesn't do much good.

“Affordable luxury”

This was one of my best hotel stays in Miami Airport area at a very affordable price for the amenities included (Full fridge, Microwave, Stove Burner, comfortable bed, fulfilling continental breakfast...) and above all, a quite area far from the airport noise or bustling night life of South beach. Next time in Miami, I am definitely staying at this hotel.

“Worst Homewood i have ever stayed in”

I generally prefer Hilton properties, and travel quite a bit for my business, and often choose homewood suites. This hotel was filthy, the rooms run down, understaffed, the staff other than the front desk clerk did not speak any English, lighting in bathroom was broken and jury rigged, air conditioning filter had not been changed in months and was clogged up, all public spaces and elevators were hot and not properly air conditioned, breakfast was ok, location is good, blue lagoon is convenient to my clients and the airport. Most miami hotels in the price range and area are dumps, but the hampton inn next door is a bit better and have stayed int he past and will go back over this homewood. Out of the 20 or so homewoods i have stayed in, it is by far the most disappointing to date.

Area recommendations

Blue lagoon and off the dolphin/airport area for business, dont get near miami beach for business or youll be in traffic the whole time. Good ones are sleep in miami airport, hampton airport north, hampton blue lagoon, hi express by carnival hq.
