Nice hotel, close to shopping areas

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: It is close to shopping areas. Free self parking Free wifi
Cons: Friendlier staff (as was the case in the past.) Upgrade to facilities espcially stained carpet
Location: West field Mall Plenty option for food, red lobster, Mc Donald, taco bell, pollo tropical to name a few Close to airport without the
I've stayed at this hotel a few times in the past. Rates were good and so was cleanliness of rooms and friendly staff. During this visit, it can be seen that there is a clear need for upgrade to rooms . Also, although i stayed in a non-smoking room, the rooms smelt of smoke, maybe i didnt get the non-smoke room after all. If a few upgrades can be made, i would still recommend this hotel to friends. Additionally, staff didnt seem as friendly as in the past, maybe they were having a bad four days.

Disappointing

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: The front desk clerk at midnight check in, very kind and efficient.
Cons: See above - apart from the friendly staff, everything.
Location: There are some stores nearby, like Walmart, a supermarket, etc. Nothing else. (Any hotel could boast a Wallmart nearby). Poor location.
The hotel is listed as an "airport" hotel, but it´s actually quite far from the airport. For that matter, the Miami Beach hotels are also "airport" hotels. Everything is damaged in the hotel: the bathroom tiles, the showerhead, the sink, the carpet, the bed frames, the tv remote, the closet door, the safe, the lamps... need I go on? The noise from the highway is strong, and the single pane windows don´t help to abate it.

Don't go past the lobby

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
This place is probably the worst place I've ever stayed in. Once you get past the lobby which is small but OK, things go downhill and quickly. The hallways and dirty and the rooms are even worst. There are stains everywhere and the carpets have not been cleaned in years. I didn't touch anything and was afraid to get in the bed. Stayed up pretty much all night. The restaurant is not much better and you wait forever to get service. Avoid this place if you can.

Disappointed

Posted Jan 23, 2015
No laundry. Bathtub not cleaned until after the second time I complain to the front desk. Not cleaned the first two days. No ESPN. Advertised three HBO channels but only had one. Fitness room inadequate. No fridge or microwave in room. No free breakfast with my booking despite the cost.

Hotel needs maintenance. Shuttle every hour.

Posted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Maintenance, increase shuttle frequency.
I waited 1.20 min for the shuttle. Most of other hotel’s shuttles have a 20 min cycle. Furthermore, the driver did not get up to help people with their baggage. The hotel requires maintenance. Carpets need to be changed or cleaned properly. Fresh coat of paint is also required.

Quick rest between flights

Posted Jan 17, 2015
Once I was finally able to get on an airport shuttle (had to chase one down in flip flops + get people to yell at the driver to wait!) I arrived at the hotel (15 min ride) and was checked into a king bed room on the, ahem, penthouse floor by the super friendly and efficient guest service agent. The room itself was mediocre (there was an odeur of sorts.. A curious blend of humidity an some long term smoking from a past decade) but comfortable enough for 6 hours. And, all things being relative, it was palatial compared to many of the places I had been staying in during travels in Central America. Fast, friendly shuttle in the morning back to the airport.

Dirty floors in corridors and bathroom. Nice staff. Good coffee.
