The room was ok except we found two crawling insects in the room. But overall , I would recommend this hotel to big families

Pros: Convenient Location
Hotel was okay overall and convenient. The weakest points were the breakfast - very poor quality and Housekeeping service- room was not cleaned properly-no dusting or thorough cleaning hair found in bathroom upon arrival. I choose the hotel mainly because of the free breakfast but found the food mostly inedible. The set up of the lobby with breakfast tables as you enter and front desk attached to the food area is also very off and was a turn off upon arrival.

Nice hotel

Posted Jul 20, 2014
We stayed for a week. Everything was pretty good besides the fact that the A/C unit in our room was not cooling enough and the sofa bed was falling apart from one side. Most of the staff are nice and will remember even your name. We felt really welcome and enjoyed our time there.

Nice location, close to the airport

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Except for the luggage incident, the staff was for the most part friendly.
Cons: Timely delivery of rooms. Better breakfast service and less smelly bathrooms.
Location: The location is good.
The experience this time was disappointing. We had to wait more than one hour after the check in time to get a room. The bathrooms had a bad smell (sewage). Breakfast was also disappointing. Not many options and not that good. Plates are sometimes dirty and when all cutlery is used, they are not replaced immediately. You have to ask and wait for clean ones. We were in a group of 9, so we had many luggage. When asked for someone to assist with the luggage to bring them to our rooms, we got no reaction at all from the staff present who were apparently very much busy trying not to hear us. So, we had to carry them ourselves.

Sweet & Sour

Pros: Location, cleanliness, breakfast. Great Italian restaurant within walking distance.
Cons: Their systems! If Expedia hotels are paid for in full don't release those rooms to other walk-ins!
In the Spring, my son and I had a great experience at Hyatt Place. Loved the amenities and the great customer experience. It was so positive that we decided to kick off our Summer vacation with a few nights there again (going to Miami Marlins and Heat games to celebrate my husband's birthday). TWO MONTHS prior to the trip, I booked the Hyatt Place for two nights and PAID in full via Expedia. After a long series of flight delays, we finally arrived to the hotel at 2:00 AM. I knew we were safe because I had booked and PAID FOR THE ROOM IN FULL. Well, here is the SOUR part of the story. When we arrived, Hyatt Place had given our room to someone else, even though it was already paid for! On top of that, the hotel was sold out. "I've got bad news for you. We've given your room to someone else," is what the front desk person said. "We'll find you a room at another hotel." I was furious...the room I had booked and paid for in full was given to someone else! Could not believe it...such an inconvenience. They ended up sending us to another hotel...happened to be a Hyatt near Trump's golf course. They tried to make this sound glamorous, like they were giving us some special treatment. It was a huge inconvenience. AND to top it off, they said that we would need to have Expedia refund us the money for the room that we had already paid for but they gave up. On top of that, the first day of our vacation was spent relocating our hotel room. SOUR!

Decent hotel for stopping through

Posted Jun 8, 2014
Pros: Free breakfast, airport shuttle, and wifi
Cons: Closer to restaurants
We stayed for one night on our way to St. Lucia. They offered free Wifi, airport shuttle, and breakfast in the morning. They also had a 24 hour room service menu and had a mini bar area downstairs by the lobby. Hotel was clean, staff was alright. Not too many restaurants nearby but Johnny Carinos and Burger King were within walking distance. The airport shuttle driver stopped at a convenience store so we could pick up a couple last minute things. Definitely recommend for short stays.

Extremely accommodating staff members

The shuttle bus was late picking us up from the airport on our honeymoon and when we arrived, they didn't have the room we booked available. The manager offered to take us to the nearby (and way more expensive) Provident at the Blue hotel and pay for our suite for the night and offered us free drinks while we waited. The Provident didn't have an airport shuttle so they also came by to pick us up in the morning for our flight at no extra charge! Will definitely recommend staying here to anybody else.
