Good place to stay before or after cruise

Posted Dec 23, 2014
Pros: Close proximity to Port of Miami cruise terminal.
Cons: Rooms would benefit from a remodel to freshen them up. Bathrooms need better lighting.
Location: Great location -- the sights, restaurants, and shops of downtown Miami are all within walking and/or public transportation distance from the hotel.
We stayed here 3 nights before embarking on a cruise. The location is probably the best feature of the hotel. All downtown sights and shops were within easy walking distance. It was also easy to hop on public transportation to visit attractions farther away such as South Beach. The staff was very friendly and our room was quiet even though hotel was very busy. This hotel would benefit from a remodel to update the rooms. All the other Hyatts I've stayed at have had a newer look and feel.

Bed was not good.

Clean, good service most things are good. But, bed is not comfortable. I think matress's spring is break and just cover up matress pad. I stayed 3 night. I was so painful my back every morning.

Suited its purpose for business

Posted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: Convenient car rental on site.
Cons: Rooms need updating--hotel needs a facelift. Food was also disappointing--very little fresh fruit for breakout meetings. More healthy next time.
Location: Shopping, restaurants within walking distance--try the Peruvian Embarcadero or Capital Grille--5 minute walk.
Would not choose to stay there in future unless upgraded--very tired, peeling wallpaper over the bed. Not good.

Did not need the for my trip. Cruise was to leave at 4:30pm and my check in was 4:00pm. Figure that one out.
