My stay in Miami.

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Proximity! It was located in the downtown area and centrally located in the right place close to south beach.
Cons: I noticed that the walls were kind of dirty. I would liked to have had a sign on my door to inform housekeeping not to disturb me.
Location: South Beach was 15 mins. away. The fair was in walking distance. The hotel was in the perfect location based on my agenda. Cool!
I had a great time in Miami. It was my first visit and I know that I would like to visit again.

Things to improve hotel room

Posted Jul 9, 2014
The room was smaller and needed microwave or refrigerator .The hotel staff was very professional and kind. The room had a unpleasant smell to it we had to buy airfresher. The view was my favorite part it was beautiful Everything else was great. The valet attendant were the best.

Tons of potential but in severe need of up grades.

Not really what I'm used to when visiting the Hyatt regency. It was more like staying at a Howard Johnson!

Are you serious??

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: It was modern and very beautiful, the rooms had a good size to them..
Cons: All I discussed above..
Location: About 6 blocks over you could get just about anything you desired, so defiantly a plus..
Someone explain to me how a high end hotel like this finds it necessary to charge $6.50 for a bottle of Aquafina water when we can get it at the store for half the price. I mean really, is it that serious?? Just a serious deterrent from staying here again, if the Super 8 can afford to give complimentary water why can't a hotel charging a fortune do the same. All it tells me is that they aren't here for the customer, but defiantly the money!!! And no complimentary breakfast, just a shame!!

Downtown Miami! - great city location.

Posted Jul 4, 2014
Pros: The staff and the location
Cons: Update the bedrooms
Location: It is downtown Miami - there is everything you need.
The staff were great! They made the stay for me. The hotel has seen better days and is probably in need of a major overhaul to keep up with the Miami set! The room was clean, but old and tired.

Most disappointing Hyatt stay ever.

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: The breakfast buffet and food service was great!
Cons: Front desk service. Update all rooms or at least discount the Unrenovated rooms. This way, paying almost $200 for a room doesn't feel like a waste.
I never thought booking at almost $200/day at a full service Hyatt, that I would end up in a room (11th floor) that was not renovated to represent the class and comfort I have come to know and enjoy during my Hyatt stays. I was shocked that my room was severely outdated. Paint job was dated, wallpaper was peeling, and the bathroom screamed 1999. How does this happen in 2014 in one of the country's largest and most exciting cities, MIAMI!!! To my utter shock, when I raised my concerns at checking to the front desk staff and inquired to see if a renovated room was available, they did not seem eager to oblige. They admitted they were in process of a staggered renovation, but never offered nor obliged my request to move into a more modern room. I was disappointed. Very disappointed. This was not the great Hyatt service I know and appreciate. I definitely will not stay there again.
