Downtown MiamiPosted Nov 11, 2013
Pros: Room was extremly comfortable. Once you lay on the bed u do not want to get up, extremly comfortable. You can pick what time u want your room cleaned.
Cons: Front entrance is disorganized. Workers scrambling to retrieve cars . No taxi stand uncertain who to talk to grab anyone or u will be ignored.
Location: American Airlines Arena, Bayside Market Place open late for boat, shopping and food, many stores and food 2 blocks away from hotel but close early.
1st time in Miami to see a Heat game. Arrived late at night . Even though prepaid in full at time of arrival hotel was almost fully booked and could not find me a room. I had booked a king bed and called to change it to 2 double beds I was told ok and given a confirmation number. Upon arrival there was no was no record of this. The person at front desk was argumentative with me which I really did not want to hear at 11:30pm. However an other front desk person intervened and upgraded me to a suite with 2 double beds. I thanked him there and again later. The room was beautiful, modern and comfortable. The rest of the staff were nice. Room service 24 hr was fast and the staff at the spa was very friendly. Had problems with the computer in the room and free wi-fi but some one came immediately to resolve problem at 1:00am. Did not hear noise outside even though some construction going on but strangly did hear a phone ring next door. swimming pool is big and the 24hr gym is very spacious with alot of equipment variety. Can only operate elevator with room key and the wait time was less than one minute. A guest I met there complained that he was charged too much for overnite parking by the hotel. There is a full court professional basketball court to rent as well as a pool table, virtual bowling and 3d room.I do recomend .

Pros: The room was fantastic. I loved the modern amenities
Cons: More towels in the bathroom
Location: I only stayed for one night. But if you are able to get a table at the Swanky Zuma Restuarnet it is a sure bet. It was jammed packed on a Monday Night
My experience was great. My room was available and had a great view. The bell boy Ricardo that took my luggage to my room went thorugh ALL of the features of the room, made restaurant reservations for us and was overall super helpful. The front desk staff was curtious and also very helpful

Fantastic HotelPosted Sep 26, 2013
Pros: Everything. Location, quality of accommodation and service.
Location: Right on the bay. Walking distance to shops. Plentiful supply of Taxis, buses and mono rail service to allow you to get further away.
A very good exceptionally high quality hotel with spectacular views over the bay. All staff were very friendly and very professional.

Absolutely worth every penny!Posted Sep 24, 2013
We stayed at the Viceroy in Downtown Miami the weekend before staying at the JW Marriott Marquis and I definitely would recommend the JW Marriott before the Viceroy. While they are both really nice hotels, I found that the room was twice as large, the bed was way more comfortable, and they didn't charge to print a few things while we were there (unlike the Viceroy, where they charge to access the internet on the computers in the lounge and to print things). I also found the staff to be a lot friendlier and more helpful. Not only did the concierge recommended a delicious restaurant (we were very pleased!), but he also made our reservations. We were amazed at the level of hospitality at this hotel and the luxurious feel of the rooms. And what an amazing view we had! Would HIGHLY recommend this hotel!
