Cons: PARKING CHARGES!
The Hotel staff was very welcoming and a pleasure to deal with. Our room was clean & comfortable. The outdoor pool, ideally located on the 7th floor, was meticulously maintained. The surrounding pool area offered ample patio space to relax in the shade under canopied areas or lounge under sun. However, there were not enough lounge chairs for the guests even though the pool was never crowded. My only major complaint was & still is parking. I was shocked to learn that hotel parking was not included. Instead, parking was charged to my room at a daily rate of $20 + tax which is absolutely overpriced! I accept my fault in this, as I failed to read the fine print, but I firmly believe that this is a greedy practice on the behalf of the hotel.

Disappointing

Cons: Housecleaning needs much improvement.
Location: Publix right next door is convenient.
This hotel is unfortunately quite disappointing to us. The room was comfortable but when we came back from being out all day the next day, our room was not cleaned. The hotel housekeeping said it was because when they came by the privacy sign was on the door and that they tried calling the room at 6pm and no-one answered. Well, we left the room from 11am to 10pm and the privacy sign was not on the door. I am certain that 11 hours are plenty of time for a room to be cleaned in any hotel or motel. This is quite an unexpected treatment from a hotel such as Marriott. The $19 valet only parking option doesn't help either. We will not be back.

Not worth the room price.

We showed up at the hotel after our cruise so we were there really early and we knew we weren't going to get a room right away so we went to the mall but were told check out is around noon so close to that we should have one. We went to the mall for three hours and came back around noon and it still wasnt ready which was fine so we just wanted in their lobby for another two hours. The hotel staff were rude at times and would just stare at us sitting there. Finally we went up to the counter to see if we could go sit by the pool and all of a sudden a room was ready. They didn't even come and tell us. They also screwed up our room service bill and almost charged us for someone else's meal. We had a free airport shuttle pass and they didn't have it on our reservation so that took time to figure out as we were trying to checkout and catch the shuttle. Their restaurant was really good though.

Hotel in need of renewal

The last time I came to this hotel was in 2003, and the only that has changed is the furniture and now they have a flat tv (like all hotels here in Miami). The carpets and the bathroom are from the last century, and everything looks dated. I don't think I'd visit this hotel again. There is a better hotel infront and is a "lower class" hotel, and that's the courtyard by Marriott. I'd recommend this last hotel by far, if you need to stay in the same neighborhood.

Overall Good - Gym and Breakfast Excellent

Pros: Fitness Center
Cons: The carpet and wall coverings need to be updated, they are dating the hallways.
Location: A shuttle to the Cheesecake factory or other nearby shopping/eating would be helpful. The sidewalks in the area are insufficient to be safe.
I really appreciated the outstanding fitness center. The selection of equipment was excellent and everything was in great condition, the view was nice and the towels and water were helpful.

Enjoyed the conciërge room. Was my 3rd stay at this Hotel and will be back!
