It was only one night, but we had a good time at the hotel. Nice shopping around.

Why customer service really matters.

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: I did like the pool a lot and the hotel was clean.
Cons: Be more careful with your customers, treat them w respect, understanding, go beyond the call of duty. I am a travel blogger so you will lose clients
Location: shopping only
We were 4 people and for some reason they only gave us one room, even though we asked them to give us two rooms they refused and said no and that we would need to pay an extra 300 dollars if we wanted another room (even though we were paying almost 300 dollars a day for the room). Then we asked for bigger beds because the beds were too small for two people.they said they didn't have them..Then we would constantly have to ask for more coffee or more towels because they didn't have enough for four people. When we talked to the supervisor about our problems she brushed us off. I travel all over the world and I have never dealt with such disdain. I will from now on never stay at a Marriott hotel. We did not deserve this treatment and felt cheated.

Please let me start by thanking you for taking the time to post your review on Expedia. We are always grateful to receive comments from our guests regardless of whether they are good or bad. It is not good when a valued guest leaves the hotel and does not say anything about a bad experience because then we cannot make corrections where needed. Your comments are of the utmost importance and we thank you for taking the time to let us know about your stay. We sincerely apologize for not meeting your expectations on certain items on this visit but appreciate that you did like others. We are addressing the issues that require immediate attention on your post. We do hope that you give us another opportunity as it will be our pleasure to welcome you back and provide you with the exceptional service that you are familiar with from the Marriott brand. We look forward to seeing you again and win back your confidence.

Good hotel to gomshopping

Posted Mar 18, 2014
Pros: That it is close to the mall, a supermarket and small cafes
Cons: The menu from the main restaurant
Location: You can walk to the mall and other stores nearby
It was ok....nothing extraordinary.....it is just a hotel near the mall, nothing extraordinary about it

Ok but nothing special.

Hotel was ok but it's far from the beaches, and any night life.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments! All comments are well received. Although not as close to the beach, our property is central to many of Miami’s most popular attractions. We hope that our excellent quality of service keeps you coming back and that in doing so, you will find all that our location has to offer. See you soon!

Friend Staffs, Clean and Comfortable Room

Posted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: Location
Location: it is close to Dadeland mall and publix supermarket. If you are willing to walk a bit more, you can get to Best Buy and Target as well.
Even though the hotel is quite old and the room is comfortable and clean. The staffs are very nice and keen to give good advices and services.

Nice enough, but not special

Posted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: Good location, close to Dadeland Mall and South Dixie Highway.
Cons: The carpets in the rooms could have used a good cleaning.
Location: It's Miami - as long as you can jump in a car, you can do a million fabulous sun-belt things, though the beach is at least 30 minutes away.
I'd put the hotel in the category of 'nice', but not really worth the expense if you're good with a clean Hampton Inn. The staff was terrific, the rooms were ok, and there are amenities, but the required valet parking (if you have a car) bumps up the cost by $20/day, before tips. We had (an expensive) breakfast (buffet) there, and it was very disappointing. Refrigerator-stale pastries and hard melon - only the waitstaff was worth mention. We didn't have an awful time there, but I won't return.

The room was quite musty and the decor dated. The carpet was damp and musty.

Great Hotel

Posted Jan 15, 2014
Pros: Location, Shuttle, Breakfast
Cons: The room floors look a little outdated
Location: Dadeland Mall, Cheesecake Factory, Publix Supermarket, Coconut Grove, The Falls (mall)
A very nice hotel. Located in the heart of Miami, walking distance from the Dadeland Mall and a Publix Supermarket. It has a shuttle that takes you to the mall and to the airport for free. Rooms are clean and updated. Great breakfast (sometimes included) Staff was really nice as well.
