“Great airport location.”
Had everything you needed.
“Home away from Home”
Affordable and ADORABLE! We felt that we were staying at a friends house that happen to be out of town at the time. We loved it! We will be there ANY time we go to Miami~!
“A jewel of an inn in central Miami”
Located next to the City Center and to Little Havana and Miami's bustling "Latin quarter," the Miami River Inn offers comfortable, clean rooms, off-stret parking, a generous complementary breakfast, a swimming pool and deck area, all nested within a quiet tropical setting. By far the best dollar-for-value hotel we have found in the Miami area.
“Loved it!”
Charming, excluded, get-away with southern/Hemingway/Florida charm. Gracious hosts, great breakfast and something unique.
“O.K.”
Small B&B near downtown. Very easy to get to. Only down side is parking very limited and the gate is locked after 11pm. You can still enter & Exit as they tell you the combination but it is a pain. Upside, nice pool and a outside hot tub.
“Charming alternative to a modern hotel.”
This is a very sweet inn, though I experienced a few hiccups in the service. My room was large and furnished with quality antiques, very pretty to look at though the bed was squeaky and slightly uncomfortable. They served a tasty, simple buffet breakfast with complimentary newspaper poolside in the morning, very pleasant. I really enjoyed the relaxing and somewhat nostalgic atmosphere. The service was not perfect, they did miss cleaning my room one day and were unable to activate the phone in my room. If you like staying in places with character and are not intolerant when it comes to service and amenities you may enjoy the Miami River Inn as a peaceful, historic respite from hectic Miami.
“Great Hotel”
The hotel was great. I was impressed with the hospitality and the look of the hotel. Loved their outdoors area. It felt like home. And the antique decorations were beautiful. The room we stayed in was stayed in was small but cozy and had a welcoming warm touch to it.
“Quiet Old apartment/hotel in just outside of Downtown Miami”
Just by looking at the location of this hotel on the map, I thought it is some kind of getto hotel in the getto Miami. However, it was in a quiet residential area. Several old 10-15 bedroom house converted to hotel rooms. Some of the buildings are aparments. Lots of trees between buildings and small but clean rooms. Continental breakfast at the poolside was very nice. For the price and location, I recommend this hotel for not so wealthy travelers like me.
“Nice place to stay”
It was very nice, the only thing is we attended a function in Downtown we stayed close thinking we would not have to worry about parking, but we were told it was not a safe area to walk back to at night. I wish there was some way to know that so we could have planned a little better.
“Charming place, would love to return”
I stayed at the Miami River Inn for a business trip when the conference hotel and surrounding hotels downtown were full and I am very glad I did. If you are one who likes modern (and generic) hotel-style rooms, this is not for you. However, if, like me, you appreciate the character and charm of a vintage plantation compund (there are 5 buildings) with extra-friendly and helpful staff, a cat named Tommy and a wonderful swimming pool set among the palm-lined courtyard, enjoy! Downside: no restaurants within walking distance, cab rides required to get downtown or elsewhere. Room facing the street was a bit noisy, small TVs, my tub plug didn't work (but it was the best shower I had ever experienced). But charm and comforts of home galore! Very clean, pool was perfect. Every staff member was helpful, getting me cabs, letting me store luggage, touristy advice, etc. A delight.
