Nice hotels near good shops and malls

Posted Jul 4, 2015
Pros: It's in a good location, everything is nearby. It's quit. Nice pool
Cons: The internet connection. It doesn't work everywhere in the hotel. there for you have to keep going to the lobby to use it
Location: Good location. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby
It's a nice and quiet hotel. my stay was what i wanted and expected for the price. good price. Some of the frontdesk people not so friendly and helpfull. But overall very gentle people who go the extra mile for you. I would stay there again

In One Word...

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: I'll let you guess!
Cons: Again, you can guess!
It was terrible!!! We were flying to Cuba the following morning and had to be at the airport at 5 am. Called when connection was made in TX to let them know that we would be arriving between 11 and 11:30 pm. Arrived at 11:30 pm and there was no shuttle waiting. We saw at least 6 shuttle service except Ramada's. We called the hotel who contacted the shuttle driver and he said that he just missed us and was not coming back to pick us up. We ended up paying $35.00 plus tip for a cab. We were told at the desk when we arrive and asked about shuttle service the following morning they said that shuttle service started at 6:00 am and again we got the short end of the stick and had to pay for a cab to the airport. One would think that out of courtesy for their SCREW UP they would have provided service back to the airport. It cost us more than if we had stayed at the Hilton or some other hotel closer to the airport and with shuttle service to the hotel. In cab fares alone we ended up paying close to the hotel cost. The hotel clerk apologized for whatever that was worth!!!

A Terrible Experience

Posted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: Absolutely nothing. I would never return to another Ramada Hotel again after this terrible experience.
Cons: The manager's management skills and duties. The staff at this hotel was ignorant and the manager did not even apologize once for all the trouble.
Location: The hotel is in a prime location being near the airport and stores.
On the first day, the room had no towels and the second, the toilet overflowed. And throughout all of this, the staff and manager was completely ignorant and unresponsive to resolve the issues. Walking into the room, it smelled like mold and cigarettes and there was a dead cockroach near the toilet. Calling the staff and manager was extremely difficult, to call for towels, I had to call 4 times, and they still could not bring towels so I had to walked to the manager ask directly. That is completely unacceptable. With the weak water pressure at the hotel, the toilet overflowed, and I called the manager, and she said that the hotel mechanic had left! So my family and I had to move rooms to the other building at midnight! Overall, besides the filthy rooms, incompetent staff and manager could not resolve even the simplest of issues. They seem to not care to make their guest's experience a pleasant one. This three night stay left me and my family outraged at the unresponsive manager and made our first visit to Miami, a very unpleasant one.

Terrible

Posted Jun 17, 2015
Staff in the front does not know what customer service is...they obviously don't like their jobs. The hotel is old and needs some painting and cleaning. All the ice machines were broken. The bed was clean and the cleaning staff in the room do a good job. The ads for this hotel clearly are deceiving..none of it is true. will stay in the Howard Johnson across the street next time.

Booked a non smoking room and the smell of everyone else smoking was coming into our room. Hotel staff didnt even care... carpets were filthy all the way around- from the hallway to the rooms. Hotel staff came into room several times when we were in the room- with out notice.

Disgusting place

Posted Jun 13, 2015
Pros: The airport shuttle and the cheap price.
Cons: Everything could be improved. It is very run down.
Location: There is a mall but I didn't have time to explore it.
This place was nasty and smelled bad. It is extremely run down. At the reception desk, they didn't bother to tell me where the elevator was so I was walking around the first floor like an idiot looking for it. I entered the room and saw gum on the table near the phone. When I went to take a shower, the handle fell off and there was no hot water. I had to take a cold shower and try to keep the handle on the entire time. Very painful experience. After that I used the toilet and it didn't really flush. The walls are also thin so I could hear everything the couple next door were saying and doing. Fortunately, after a long international trip I was so tired that I managed to sleep through it. Yes, it's cheap for $63 and has a large screen TV with many channels but NEVER AGAIN. I have stayed at other motels like La Quinta Airport Miami for an extra $5 and the showers and toilets there actually work. Even a very frugal person like myself wouldn't come back here. The only positive thing is the free airport shuttle.

You get what you pay

The hotel needs a mayor investment in the Rooms and beds and the staff un the front desk makes the check in really fast, but when is about the rooms like in mine that the safe box was already locked, they told us the would send maintenance but never arrived in the 4 days we were there

Reasonable hotel, but should include bf

Posted Jun 13, 2015
The room was fairly decent. There is WiFi throughout the hotel. The restaurant only functioned in the evening. The games room is completely closed of, but it advertised as one of the amenities...didn't bother me too much as I was out on business. The hotel is close to Miami international so that was a plus and across the road from Westland Mall. IHOP and a bunch of restaurants. Overall I'd stay there again, but the hotel shd be uplifted, it's very gloomy...dull and outdated paint and fixtures.

Posted Jun 12, 2015
Pros: Ubication.
Cons: Shuttle information in Expedia. I waited one hour, at 4 AM in the morning at the airport, until I called. They said and no run between 12AM -6 AM
Location: Marshalls, JC Penney, Macys, Target. Great for shopping and close to the airport
Great ubication, close to shopping mall and the airport. Good staff, the only issue is the shuttle does not run between 12 AM to 6 AM to the airport and is a little not organized this.
