Nice hotel right on the ocean

Posted Jan 7, 2015
Pros: We liked the room, the closeness to the beach, the heated pool, the availability of laundry, pizza and gift shops, and the hotel restaurant.
Cons: Housekeeping kept a sandy room clean each day, but we had to call for towels.
Location: The Aventura Mall, the beach, great restaurants. Not too far away is the Everglades Holiday Park with an airboat ride and alligator show.
The Marco Polo was a nice hotel whose best features are the heated pool and proximity to the beach. The room was nice, with two very comfortable queen beds, a kitchenette with a full refrigerator, and balcony with a view of the ocean. My family and I enjoyed our stay.

A Dated Experience

Posted Jan 6, 2015
Pros: The location. The beach.
Cons: The rooms need updating.
Location: Great restaurants near by.
This hotel was definitely dated and in need of renovations. It's a great location with a great beach, but the accommodations at the hotel are in need of updates. The rooms are definitely in need of updates. It was a disappointing experience.

Old, dirty room right on the beach

Posted Jan 4, 2015
We had a standard room with a kitchen and with a partial view of the beach. Kitchen cabinets were sticky, missing plates, no cooking utensils, bathroom towels had stains, broken chair, and extremely dirty windows obstructing the view. Hotel is in a nice location right on the beach in Sunny Isles but it's at the opposite end of South Beach. The local "S" bus takes over an hour to go from the hotel to South Beach (and back) and most of the ride would be standing in the bus. Something to keep in mind if interested in going to South Beach and not interested in driving across the causeway to take 95S and back across the causeway and look for parkimg. The hotel is old and in need of renovation. Totally not worth the premium cost for being right on the beach.

Old resort needs a lot of upgrades

Posted Jan 3, 2015
Pros: On the beach and was affordable
Cons: Everything needs upgrade including staff
Location: There isn't much close by. Even to buy anything you need to walk for about 5 blocks
Resort is on the beach with pool overlooking the beach but whole resort need major upgrades. The resort still have the original windows furniture etc. from the sixties (looks like). It doesn't look like the owner(s) are interested in making any upgrades. Staff seem interested in selling you package tours rather than helping us with our needs.

A resort this is not!

Posted Jan 2, 2015
I am not sure why anyone would refer to this run down outdated hotel as a "resort". From the $13 per day "resort" fee added to your room charge everyday, to the outdated room decor, to the wrinkled table linens and dirty chairs in the dining room, to the $30 per day charge for beach chairs; this place is simply a massive disappointment.

Miami hotel beachfront.

Posted Dec 10, 2014
For the cost of the hotel was not horrible however it's not even close to being great. Nice workout center and sauna. Everything at the hotel has an extra fee including a place to sit at the beach. Drinks are ridiculously overpriced. despite this staff was very nice and very helpful. I travel a lot and will not come back to this place.
