Hotel Nightmare!

Posted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: Once we actually got a room here, the hotel was perfectly adequate.
Cons: The system that allows overbooking.
I booked my stay at least 2 months in advance. Imagine my shock to arrive at the hotel only to be told they were overbooked and had no room for us. They sent us by cab to another hotel (NOT another Ramada, mind you) 30 minutes away in South Beach. The hotel they sent us to was literally the dirtiest, sketchiest hotel I have ever stepped foot in. When we arrived back at the Ramada Marco Polo the next day for what should have been the second night of our reservation, our room was STILL not ready. The staff was somewhat apologetic, but really did not go above and beyond to make us feel adequately compensated for their mistake. I will not be staying at a Ramada again. Stay away from this place!

On The Beach!!!

Posted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: It's proximity to the beach!!!
Cons: Some of the staff seemed aloof or uninterested in being there.
Location: beach, beach, beach!
Neat old hotel with a lot of history. Right by the beach with a substantial continental breakfast.

Close to the beach

Posted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: Our hotel room had a full ocean view, balcony, and a lovely kitchenette.
Location: Hotel is on the beach; Close to several bus stops which made it easy to get around Miami including getting to South Beach since we did not rent a car
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and I would definitely book this hotel again. The only downsides were the fact that the bathroom in our hotel room smelled slightly odd . . . like it was cleaned with too much bleach. Also, the hotel does not have a business center. Instead, the hotel has two desktop computers in a corner of the lobby that you can use for a fee.

Ramada Marco Polo Beach Resort

Posted Mar 12, 2014
The pool was very nice and the continental breakfast was a pleasing addition. The disappointment was with the front desk, they were not only stuffy but inept at there jobs and left out important information about my stay.

kindness is not a word that staff knows.

Posted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: location
front desk and concierge makes you want your money back! Breakfast is poor. the hall in floor 7 smells so bad. No doors in the room works properly they are broken, outdated and dangerous. they charge 13 dollars plus per day for the news paper you never find, two bottles of water and local calls you don`t need to do. Vallet parking phone never answer. I promise never come back!

Experimenting with Sunny Isles

Posted Mar 9, 2014
Pros: If you are looking to stay in this area, the beach in front is beautiful.
Cons: The hot/cold taps in the tub and bathroom sink.
Location: Adventura Mall is Great for Shopping and Eating.
As part of the Ramada chain I was a bit surprised at the lack of professionalism from the staff. It seemed as though the training needed revising to remind them that we are not guests arriving at there house but that this is actually a hotel where people require kind and professional courtesy. The room was exceptionally clean, I was on the second floor. The location is a $40 cab from South Beach but is close to Adventura Mall.

Lovely pool and beach but hotel a little run down

Posted Mar 4, 2014
Pros: hotel food wasn't bad and pretty reasonably priced.
Location: off the beaten path of bustling Miami Beach. The hotel is actually in Sunny Isles Florida just north of Miami Beach.
Front desk not extra friendly but the concierge team of young men were quite helpful and polite. The hotel is an older building and has some charm but our room was in need of repairs and an update. The bathroom had been redone and was lovely but the tub/shower faucet was not working properly. The beds were nice and comfy but the room was in need of a painting. It was nice to have a kitchenette. The room needed to be repainted lots of dings on the walls and such and the patio door lock was just about falling off the wall. We loved having a balcony with a beautiful view of the city. There was nothing resortish about the room itself. It was a typical efficient room but no bells or whistles. The hotel offered a "free" breakfast every day - we had to pay a $13/day hotel fee for little extras - the dining room offered a nice view of the ocean and the wait staff was hard working and efficient. It was self serve for the most part and had quite an extensive buffet. Eggs were not included. For the reasonable cost, I considered it a nice place to stay.
