Lovely pool and beach but hotel a little run downPosted Mar 4, 2014
Pros: hotel food wasn't bad and pretty reasonably priced.
Location: off the beaten path of bustling Miami Beach. The hotel is actually in Sunny Isles Florida just north of Miami Beach.
Front desk not extra friendly but the concierge team of young men were quite helpful and polite. The hotel is an older building and has some charm but our room was in need of repairs and an update. The bathroom had been redone and was lovely but the tub/shower faucet was not working properly. The beds were nice and comfy but the room was in need of a painting. It was nice to have a kitchenette. The room needed to be repainted lots of dings on the walls and such and the patio door lock was just about falling off the wall. We loved having a balcony with a beautiful view of the city. There was nothing resortish about the room itself. It was a typical efficient room but no bells or whistles. The hotel offered a "free" breakfast every day - we had to pay a $13/day hotel fee for little extras - the dining room offered a nice view of the ocean and the wait staff was hard working and efficient. It was self serve for the most part and had quite an extensive buffet. Eggs were not included. For the reasonable cost, I considered it a nice place to stay.

Poor hotel but good locationPosted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: Location, pool.
Cons: Breakfast, improve some old things like bathroom, gim.
Location: The location is the best thing. Some restaurant around. The beach is just at the feet of the hotel
It's a bad hotel, with poor services, a terrible breakfast, and with very old stuffs. The only good thing about this hotel is its location. The beach and the swimming pool are fine.

Location and Hotel Good but Policies ConstrainingPosted Feb 15, 2014
Pros: Location Rooms WiFi Included Breakfast suited us (although selection was somewhat limited.) Easy to find chairs at the pool.
Cons: Policies for bellman Parking Selection Corridors could be updated.
Location: The location on the beach at Sunny Isles at 192nd street is excellent. The tall condos next door tend to block the sun at the pool certain times.
We checked in for 11 nights on Feb 2, 2014. This was the second time in 4 years that we stayed there. Check in is at 4:00 PM rather than 3:00 like in most other hotels we have stayed at. For us, that was an issue as our plane arrived at around 10:00 AM that day. On the other hand, check-out is at 11:00 rather than 10:00.The first room we were assigned did not have a safe - something that was very important to us. The room had obviously recently been renovated and the safe had been forgotten. It surprised us that the management didn't know. The next day, we were offered another room so we packed up and moved. We had asked to borrow the bellman's cart which would have facilitated the move but they would not lend it to us. The bellman had to be with us. That meant that packing up the room and moving would be constrained. Instead, we just threw everything into our suitcases and moved without it. Parking is by valet only which I can understand given the driveway that can be very congested at times. That adds $18 per day to the cost. It seems to me that self parking would solve a lot of the congestion and would mean that it would not be necessary to wait 15 minutes for our car. The building is quite old and the corridors a bit dull however the lobby and the rooms are actually very good. Wifi worked very well for us in both the rooms we were in. The included limited continental breakfast suited us very well but if a person wanted extras like eggs there was a surcharge.

Nice hotel on the beach..Posted Jan 17, 2014
Stayed for 4 nights. Good location, friendly staff, clean, good breakfast, bus stop in front of the hotel which is very convenient and only 1 bus to the great Aventura mall. Stayed in the standard room with 2 beds, it didn't have a balcony but had a partial beach view and main street view which was great. Rooms were clean but need to be upgraded. The main restaurant was closed for dinner due to function by a group bur the lounge restaurant was open with the bar area. We had dinner there once and it was horrible.. The pizza place in tbe lower lobby of the hotel was ok..

Don't get excited about this hotelPosted Jan 14, 2014
Pros: Location, beach, pool, entry
Cons: We got a "recently renovated" room. Really? The tile floor and kitchenette was fine but the bathroom was fairly dingy. The a/c smelled like mildew.
Location: Great resteraunts and shopping
We've stayed up and down the coast of dade/broward and definitely have had far better experiences. If you get a bargain deal or you need to stay close to this location, it may be worth staying here. Be prepared to pay for valet parking and hotel resort fees which are required but not listed on Expedia.
