Terrible hotel to be avoided at all costsPosted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: The close proximity to the beach.
Cons: Knock down the hotel and build a new one.
Location: The location is great and there are many restaurants in the area. It is close the beach, which is the only redeeming quality of this hotel.
When we first got there, our room needed to be changed 3 times. And even the third room (which they thought was the best) had an air conditioner that was not working correctly and portions of it that were falling apart. Some of the staff did their best to accommodate us, but the hotel is old and in very bad condition. It looks like it was a great place in the 1960s. The rooms were cleaned, but we needed to call the housekeepers back because they would constantly miss things or forget to do certain things (like leave towels or sweep). The restaurant downstairs is filthy. I had an insect in my food and when I complained, instead of being nice and refunding my money they said that they forgot to charge me for a drink that I ordered. For all I endured, they gave me a 50 dollars food credit and said that this was sufficient in compensating me for the terrible experience.

Great bed on the beachPosted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: Beds were awesome!
Cons: Nicer staff.. More efficient.
Location: Mall, movie theater.
Room door didn't lock. We called... We called again.. And called again saying send us someone immediately, we are now going to be missing our plans... Caught the head cleaning guy in the hall way and hard key locked it because the electronic wasn't working. Never saw the maintenance guy we asked for.. Checking people not super friendly... Bought a third room, which was ready so we all put stuff in that room.. Went swimming called to check on other rooms.. In hold for 15 minutes... Most places these days send texts so you know when you can get to your room. These people were annoyed every hour and a half you came to check, but never gave estimated time.. Beds were amazingly comfortable. Rooms were excellent. Pool was nice. It says no music or loudness, but there was a kids clinic/camp going on.. Can't have rules for a quiet pool and then have events... Location was great... The parking guys were ok.. We came back, had to run upstairs for five minutes and come back down... Told the guy probably not to park it, we will be back down in a few... Came back down and had to wait forever to get car back...

Good value hotel in Sunny IslesPosted Jun 29, 2015
Cons: Rooms was ok, beds very comfortable, but public areas (pool side) could be improved.
Location: Shopping at Aventura mall.
Great hotel to stay at for shopping trips! Aventura Mall is just crossing the bridge. Room was ok, the halls smelled a bit of food (room came with a kitchenette, so I guess the neighbors were cooking). It's more of a hotel for families, but saw young couples too. Did not try the restaurants. Pool was ok. We didn't get down to the beach during our stay, too much seaweed.

Beach is right behind the hotel!Posted Jun 28, 2015
All staff was very friendly, especially george at front end, Roger at concierge, & a very young male who was working in pool area. Room was pretty clean and my family felt very safe in this area. The beach is right behind this hotel!! Only dislike was when I booked the hotel, the info said breakfast was $11.99 per person and it's actually $15.99 per person for a really small buffet.

Walking in to the room had a old smell I had paid for a balcony ocean view They gave me a 2nd floor roof view with partial ocean view. The pool area had no music The club in the hotel looked like it was a gangster club only men. I would not stay again.

Pros: Swiming pool and closeness to the ocean
Cons: Rooms need new carpet, doors, plumbing. The water pressure is awful
Location: Walking distance to supermarket and liquer store (about 1 mile) ; close to S Route bus stop
The rooms are old; water pressure is terrible; noisy at night
