“Beautiful views from room, poolside & restaurant, passionate employees & ideal location!”

Sonesta is a fantastic hotel, top notch in every area. The dining room/bar tabs can be a bit pricey; more vegan options on the menu would be a great addition, and I really appreciated their efforts to accommodate me as best they could. Very friendly & helpful staff, all wearing their passions on their badges, literally. Kitchenette facilities were great to have in the very comfy & pleasant rooms. I will definitely chose to stay at Sonesta for my next Miami visit.

“Great location and service, lousy room.”

This hotel is actually a condominium hotel and most of the people actually live there. We did not know this when we booked it. Our room was extremely small, about the size of a cruise ship veranda room. It did not have a balcony (one of the few) although it did overlook the water. It also had no mirror in the room, only in the bathroom. The closet was tiny and it had only one chair along with a desk chair. Larger rooms are difficult to get as most of the place is used as a residence for people. They either rent or own. The pool was great and overlooked the marina and the water. We stayed there over July 4th and it was a great location for fireworks. It was packed although they screened everyone who came into the "hotel". It is named "Sonesta Hotel and Suites", but should be named Sonesta Hotel and Condominiums". The people were very nice however, but I would not stay there because of the size of the room.

Area recommendations

Coconut Grove is a very eclectic place with lots of neat restaurants and shops. They have an "art walk" the first Saturday of each month. I would also recommend staying in Coral Gables which is more upscale or Key Biscayne. There is a lot to do and see in the Miami area, so it depends on why you are going and what your interests are. If you stay on The Key, there is a bridge toll each time you cross the bridge to the island, so be sure you carry cash.

“Cocunut Grove a beautifil place to be.”

Enjoyed hotel, however upgraded to a bayview room and was given a corner room with a balcony you could only stand on.. No sitting room :(

“Coconut Grove's Best”

This hotel is one of a kind...and in a good way. The rooms are comfortable, the lobby is spotless, the dining facility is very good and the view from the 8th floor pool/dining area is tops. Very convenient to the Coco walk area.

“Loud Club Next Door!”

This hotel was very nice, comfortable and close to South Beach and Miami. Great shops in Coco Walk and surrounding streets.The staff was friendly and helpful. BUT...the only drawback is from Thurs thu Saturday night until 3:00AM, if you have a room that faces the city, you will have to listen to very,very loud music from the club two buildings down. There were numerous complaints by patrons each night, but to no avail would the police have them quiet down the music. So due to this fact, I cannot reccomend this hotel, unless you pay the price to stay on the marina side, but the view of the city is beautiful.

“Good Hotel”

The hotel was very nice. Parking was a little odd. The hotel had some exterior renovations going on while we were there. Had a hard time falling asleeep because the hotel is next to a rather loud night club. I was chased off the pool area because the windows were being washed and there was nowhere to hide. Maid seemed incapable of remembering to refresh our coffee. Despite these problems I would stay here again if I needed to be in the Coconut Grove area and the price was right.

“A wonderful experience”

The hotel was great, the staff friendly and helpful. Room very clean and spacious. Great bay view. Lots of shops and resturants within walking distance. Although the hotel is undergoing some renovations it did not interfere with your comforts. Great value for your money.
