“Great place to stay for anyone!”

Loved the hotel. The staff is beyond accommodating and friendly each time you see them; from your arrival to departure you can bet that you are going to have the customer service team of a five star resort; comparable to a Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton; only difference is that this hotel is not working with all the freebies like those. This hotel does however offer free flavored water in the lobby, free wine during a certain time frame, free coffee and other great perks that you dont often seen in touristy places unless your spending $$$$$. I give the highest rating possible to Surfcomber not because of their facility, which is nice and pleasant, but because of the marvelous customer service we saw while we were there. Would recommend to everyone and anyone going to South Beach.

“New Kimpton Ownership”

Kimpton took over on 12/1/11; we arrived 2 weeks later, so got to see daily upgrading. They are completely redecorating in Kimpton style and by the time we left Christmas Day, the gardens, lobby, bar and restaurant were dramatically changed. The rooms have had upgrades and it's clear that more is coming. The staff was outstanding - attentive, friendly and responsive (like Kimpton staff everywhere). The new Chinese fusion restaurant was good for lunch and pool snacks - we didn't eat dinner. Ocean access is easy, the pool is nice and we liked the cows (you'll understand if you stay there). I imagine previous ratings were based on the hotel when it was an older Doubletree. We were able to get very good rates during the transition. Also, the hotel next door is being renovated so there's construction on one side. That may keep rates low for a while.

great hotel clean, inviting ,,staff was good pool area was great !!! . food was good great location walking distance to everything When i go back to south beach i will be visting the surf hotel !!!!!!!

“Beautiful and relaxing get away.”

This was a very comfortable place . It was pleasant accommodating .i would stay here again. I also liked that happy hour at the pool everyday.

“Great hotspot in Miami SOBE”

Contemporary art deco hotel, with direct beach access. Staff is absolutely friendly. The hotel is close to all restaurant, shops and nightlife. Would defenately go there again!
