Close to beach, smaller hotelPosted Apr 29, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable beds. Nice to have yoga offered and the wine tours
Cons: The staff at the restaurant was unexpected- the service was slow and some of the staff members were a bit unfriendly
Location: Close to the beach, within walking distance of restaurants, shopping. Short ride away from nightlife
I liked that the hotel was a bit smaller so the experience felt more personal. Less crowds on the beach and less lines to wait in.

Great Miami getawayPosted Apr 28, 2015
This was my first trip to Miami and was given many suggestions from friends and colleagues. However, no one mentioned the surf comber. My experience from the initial discussion with Brad at the concierge was top notch. Very professional and friendly. He was able to set us up with a perfect table at the SLS Hyde Beach club saturday night and made several other dining suggestions. The pool staff, pool/bar wait staff and cleaning team were all very professional and friendly. I would definitely suggest this hotel and will go back. PS. Wine hour everyday at either 5 or 6 with the bbq alligator and pork sandwich bites were a great mid day break.

Great location Great food and gorgeous beach!Posted Apr 27, 2015
Would definitely stay here again. Very cute hotel with cool eclectic lobby, gorgeous pool set up and beach too. Nice amenity is that you get two beach chairs with an umbrella included for each day of your stay. The food at The Social Club is fantastic too!

Great location, so so service and overpriced.Posted Apr 27, 2015
Cons: See above.
Location: The hotel is nestled in the heart of Lincoln Road, next to Delano and Ritz Carlton.
The beach service was not good. I had to fetch my own towel for my bench after standing for 15 minutes. The attendant was quick to get my name and room but failed to offer me my towels. The food platter that we ordered took 60 minutes to arrived. By then were back at the pool. My room cleaning was done at 6pm, literally, after our arrival the previous night.

Nice boutique hotel right on the beachPosted Apr 22, 2015
Pros: Love the lobby, pool is nice and employees are extremely friendly and helpful
Cons: Stated above.
Location: Excellent location - near great restaurants and right on the beach
I've stayed at the Surfcomber a few times and I will continue to go back! However, there were a number of issues that I wasn't happy about. The pool bathroom was not clean and not as significant, the lobby bathroom ran out of toilet paper at one point. More disappointing was the beach service. They were short-staffed - after waiving the waiter over, I had to hunt him down to place an order. The food took forever to come and it was cold! I had the shrimp tacos and they had fallen apart in the box it was in. I had also ordered a glass of Chardonnay and they brought me a Pinot Grigio stating they had run out of Chardonnay on a Friday afternoon! The servers, on the other hand, were extremely pleasant and apologetic. The wine happy hour is wonderful! We had one of the waiters come outside where we were sitting with a refill before the hour was up and he knew what 5 people were drinking! Very impressive!

Perfect location, but too expensivePosted Apr 22, 2015
Old building, 3 floors, only one lift and 40 dollars parking. Just too expensive!

A very pleasant "Boutique Hotel"Posted Apr 22, 2015
Pros: Evening get together so by the pool were so quaint, you forget they were all strangers.
Cons: I would change a thing!!!
Location: I was attending a trade show and the convention center was simple 2 short blocs away...the perfect walk.
What a wonderful "Boutique" type hotel to bring the old time charm into the 21st century hustle and bustle of Miami Beach!

Trendy with Beautiful poolPosted Apr 18, 2015
Loved the surfcomber! The hotel is only a few steps from the beach and great location on Collins. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. There is complimentary wine hour. The pool is breathtaking an it's open 24 hours ! The restaurant has amazing food! The only downside is the very small bathrooms in the rooms other than that it was a remarkable hotel :)
