Last night of 2 week break at MiamiPosted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: Great location - especially with wet willies next door.
Cons: Attitude of staff.
Location: Lots of nice buildings, great beach and great nightlife. Good for people watching but far too many poseurs.
Had a 2 week break in Florida. Spent time in Orlando, Palm Beach, Islamorada and the last night in Miami. The hotel is fairly old and could do with some updating but the rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is excellent. There were 4 of us and we booked 2 rooms. Our room was fine but the other room had a mouse. When we mentioned that at reception, the guy on the desk didn't speak English and wasn't very interested. Also when I checked in, the other guy on the desk was watching films and had his headphones on. Also the valet car parking you need to get your car back by midday. It is not $23 for 24 hours. Whilst we were waiting for our car to arrive the restaurant owner was huffing and puffing because we were in the hotel lobby with our cases. Where else were we supposed to wait? Is it a hotel or a restaurant?

Good location bad hotelPosted Oct 16, 2014
Very good location on Miami beach but the rooms are terrible our bed had a massive slop into the middle so you ended up sleeping on top of each other. That was if you could get to sleep over the noise of the ac unit in the room.

Ok for just the basicsPosted Sep 23, 2014
Cons: Could be cleaner.
Good value, but of course you get what you pay for. Noisy as expected, but the beds were really worn. My husband and I kept sliding into the depression in the center of the mattress. Floor in the room was sandy from not being cleaned well and the complimentary toiletries, like shampoo and conditioner, were refilled with a lesser quality brand...they had broken seals! Overall I would stay again if I needed something close to the beach at a fair price.

Revamped hotel but far too noisyPosted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: Nice rooms
Cons: They need to look at their noise levels, we booked 3 rooms and none of us had a decent nights sleep.
Location: Good location, although a fair distance from down town Miami.
Hotel was hard to find as the pavement down the whole of Ocean Drive is covered with restaurants, making it difficult to see anything. The rooms looked like they had had a recent refurb, well presented and comfortable. However do not have room 102 as it's directly over the bar and noise continues well into the night. We got little sleep! The web site is deceiving as it tells you breakfast is around $7, but the hotel does not even own the restaurant attached to the front and is a completely separate business. Breakfast from them is a la carte.

Although the hotel was right in the middle of everything, the hotel and the room itself was very outdated. The rooms are very small and the bathroom needs to be gutted and updated. Its seems clean, but the walk in shower wasn't so convincing, I felt uncomfortable when taking a shower. The price could have been better, but considering the location the price was to be expected. Because of the location and my comfort level of the room I give it a 3/5

Great locationPosted Aug 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel is in a great location, in the middle of every thing. The rooms were nice and clean. There alittle small but was okay. They remodeled the place and it looks nice, there is just a couple of things that were missing,,,Like there is no soap holder or towel holders in the shower. Its like where do i put the soap. There was no mat in the shower and the floor of it was tile and it got really slippery I almost fell a couple of times. Other than that it was nice.

Hotel room nicer than looks of lobby. Very small, old looking lobby only one person working. He was very nice. we got there in the morning and he kept our luggage in lobby until check in so we could go to beach. Beach is right across the street - good location. Easy walk to Lincoln Road about a mile away. Lots of stores, restaurants and bars located within block of hotel. Valet parking convenient and only cost $22. Good value hotel for the money. If staying longer than a weekend might want to find hotel with pool and more amentities.

don't stay therePosted Jul 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
well our first impression was very bad as we walked in and the desk clerk was on the phone on a personal call for 5 minutes. then he was pretty rude and didn't tell us anything just gave us the key. I had to ask which way to the room. upon entering the room it was not as roomy as the pictures depicted. the television had a terrible cable connection very fuzzy the beds were horrible we slept horribly. bottom line I'll save you the trouble just go somewhere else anywhere. no breakfast included like hotel Ocean no discount at the parking garage like hotel Ocean.
