Great location to the beach!!

Posted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: The beach location was excellent.
Cons: Some real renovations in the rooms would be nice. Not just a quick paint job!! New bathroom doors that close would be nice not 30 year old doors.
Location: Close to the beach and the Publix supermarket.
The hotel location was great but this hotel still needs a lot of TLC!! The hotel had some cosmetic renovations done but they were done absolutely horrible where the bathroom door could not even close and the closet sliding door was completely off the hinges. Pretty dangerous! They did not provide any blankets for the beds and when did ask for a blanket it never showed up. The front desk night staff had no customer service skills at all!! A smile would be nice!!

Nice lobby and pool area but ...

Posted Jan 22, 2015
Pros: public areas like the lobby and pool area are very nice . The location right on the beach boardwalk is very convenient.
Cons: The hallways have broken paint chips, lights are dim and often a mix of warm white and cool white which looks tacky.
Location: Lincoln Road is 20 blocks south but Normandy, a resturant and shopping area is only 2 blocks away. The beach is located beside the hotel.
We checked into the hotel on January 18th, 2015. The check-in took 45 minutes as they do not release rooms until 4pml so everyone arrives at the same time. The lobby is nice, 60's retro chic but upstairs it's a different story. The hallways are dim and badly painted. The room while large with a walk-in closet was clean, the bathroom had water stains and was very dated. I think that students and budget travelers would like this property but my wife and most women would find it below standard.

Faded glory......

Posted Jan 22, 2015
Cons: Rooms need major renovation.
The ghosts of a once grand hotel loom around every corner of the Deauville. Apart from a beautiful lobby the rest of the building is desperately in need of major renovation. Dirty, torn room carpeting, sink handles that fall off when touched, gloomy halls, and exposed bathroom lights above the vanity missing a cover, noisy air conditioners and meager toiletries make this more like a bargain basement motel six.

Run down hotel which is why it's budget

Posted Jan 22, 2015
Pros: Location on the beach
Cons: everything about the facilities could be improved.
Location: Close to the beach.
The hotel was more run down than I was expecting. There was not even hot water - just luke warm.

Do Not Stay Here

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: Perfect location right on the beach. Pool area was nice. Spectacular views from the room balcony.
Cons: The entire appearance of the hotel. Its a shame that they have let this hotel go. Absolutely needs a remodel.
Location: Beach Access
Hotel room smelled of chemicals. Carpet was wet. The staff seemed embarrassed but couldn't move our room. Hotel appearance is dated and run down.

The sheets were dirty. So the shower, hair and footprints. I asked the staff to clean the room and the changed the sheets but did not clean the shower. The hotel is loud with questionable guests. Added to the night fee: 20$ plus taxes for pool towels, gym use, beach towels and Internet. Added 30$ for self parking across the street. Great ocean view, right on the beach. Expedia promptly refunded one night and the 50$ cancellation fee charged by the hotel. We could not stay there a second night due to the hotel features explained above. I have lived and worked in 3 continents and 5 countries, travelled the world on a budget, but rarely I have found myself to be charged a considerable rate for such an awful experience. Thank you Expedia for being there the only time I needed you in so many years!

Great Hotel, great price!

Posted Jan 15, 2015
We stayed at the hotel for 4 days and had a really good time! The staff was great, specially Jose at the front desk he was willing to go the extra mile to make the best accommodations for us. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the pools and bar area were amazing. We really enjoyed the tiki bar!! I will definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends, and look forward to visit it again
