The A/C on the room was too hot. We put the temperature at 65 and it was marking 76. Too hot. Beside that the room was really nice, some of the staff not very polite. The pool was full of leaves. I think the hotel has potential but need to improve for the price.

Island Hotel in the "middle" of Miami

Pros: Location, pristine premises.
Cons: The bell boys where very aggressive and tip demanding, regardless if they did help or not. The rest of the personnel was perfect!
Nice rooms, perfect location, excellent food and personnel . Door personnel can ruin your day, just ignore them and see the beautifulness of this perfect place. Cris

Nice Location and View But Old Amenities

Pros: View of the room and size of the room
Cons: Redo the floor and scrub the corridors clean.
Location: Great for resting. Make sure you rent a car as taxi costs are high.
Room is various spacious but the furnishings are really worn out. Please replace the sofas, the cushions and redo the floor in the room - can match what you have in the bathroom and all will be great. Calls to the reception went unanswered for long periods but service was always excellent whenever you finally reached the responsible persons. Corridors and elevator really dirty looking - please have a proper floor scrub of the floors especially outside the elevator on fourth floor and outside on the ground floor path.

The staff was good but the rooms are old and not well kept. It was ants in the room, food was left outside the door from morning breakfast until the next day. the veiw was great but they need to upgrade or remodel the place

Chose to upgrade to the deluxe corner room and it was a great choice! View of the bay/city behind the bed as well a great deck with another bay/city view. Very comfortable room with plenty of space. A bit dated but very nice none the less.

Little island get away...

Pros: Location was out of the way, but a short drive to almost anything.
Cons: Everything is an add on to the price; parking, resort fee, refrigerator in the room, etc.
Location: Bayside Market, South Beach
The resort is on an island of it's own. The location was great, beautiful views all the way around. The air conditioning broke down in our first room, so we got moved to another room [that was a pain], but the hotel comped our parking due to inconvenience. The pool and grounds were immaculate and the hotel staff was very accomodating.
