Cute hotel by the beach

We had a great 3 night stay here. Cute room, friendly and helpful staff. The room was a bit noisy at night but we expected this based on location.

South Beach weekend for my girlfriend's birthday

Posted Dec 16, 2014
Pros: The staff was very professional and attentive. The hotel is maintained pretty well (for an older property) and of course, the location is superb.
Cons: This is crazy but their TV drove me nuts. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out how to turn it on! The elevator was also shockingly slow.
Location: Excellent location. Close to everything in South Beach and cheap cab fares if you don't feel like walking.
We arrived in the evening. The front desk guy was friendly and very professional. He offered an upgraded suite with an ocean view but we decided to keep our booked room. The young bellhop was very personal and professional. In fact, all of the staff went out of their way to be of service. The view from the pool is world class. Most of all, the property is a very great choice for the cost.

Great hotel for a short vacation.

Posted Dec 14, 2014
Pros: All the staff's members are very friendly and show promptness to customers requests.
Cons: The smallest room have only one chair even though there is enough room for 2 chairs to accommodate 2 people having a morning coffee.
Location: The location is wonderful, the hotel is very close to beach and many restaurants and stores.
I was content with the hotel choice considering that I did not rent a car. There are many interesting places around that can be reached in a walking distance. There is also a local bus who cost only few cents one way and is convenient for exploring places faraway from the hotel 's location (example: Lincoln street). Few restaurants in the area did not meet my expectation at all. The quality of food and the service were really poor . In most restaurants the 18% tip is mandatory and is already included in bill. Pay attention because if you are not aware of that you may end up paying double tip and some restaurants do not deserve a tip.

schönes Hotel, tolle Lage

Posted Dec 8, 2014

Always enjoy staying at The Hotel of South Beach

Posted Dec 5, 2014
Pros: Rooftop sun deck & pool with ocean views. Food and service at the pool & restaurant was excellent. Join the Goldman Properties Gold club for discounts
Cons: This hotel is a South Beach boutique hotel re-designed in the late '90's by Todd Oldham. Some may find it outdated. It is certainly well kept.
Location: The Hotel of South Beach is located in the heart of South Beach close to great restaurants, shopping, and the beach.
The staff is super friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. We have visited before and enjoy seeing people that have worked at the hotel for a number of years again. The weather during the time we were there was a little cool for South Florida (upper 60's, low 70's) and windy but because the hotel has a beautiful rooftop sun deck with small pool and ocean views we were somewhat protected from the wind and able to relax by the pool even on days when the wind made the beach too cool.

As always, excellent service and excellent room

Posted Dec 3, 2014
Pros: Excellent quality and consistent service just a few steps away from the noise and excitement of Ocean Drive.
Cons: They now have an annex building which is not nearly as convenient to the ancillary services of The Hotel. Don't take an upgrade to the "other buildin
Location: Ocean Drive. One block from Lummus Park and the beach. Walking distance to scores of restaurants and bars. Lots of shopping on Collins Avenue.
I have stayed at The Hotel many times, specifically because they are consistently excellent. The rooftop pool and pool bar is an oasis from the madness that is Ocean Drive. They have two levels of rooms. The standard room is very small which is common in South Beach. The "couture" rooms are very comfortable and worth the few extra dollars IMO, but the bathroom will still be small although you can hold a party in the shower. Limited menu service for breakfast and lunch, but The News Café is right around the corner, open 24/7 with breakfast 24/7.

Great place to stay in South Beach Miami. Rooms and hotel are very fashionable and blend well into the Art Deco district. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is great.
