“Penguin enthusiast”

stayed at the Penguin for the BCS nat'l title game with 3 of my buddies from college and had a great time. room was way bigger than we expected with a double bed, futon and rollaway bed plus 2 flatscreen TVs. cant beat the location and the people at the front desk were friendly and accommodating. loved the quirky dollar bills on the hallway ceilings. overall, liked this place a lot.

Everything about the Penquin was much more than I expected, great rooms, great service and great location. I would definitely stay there again.

I booked my room for 2 nights, thinking that I would do my last night at a more upscale hotel. By my 1st night, I was trying to stay at The Penquin the whole weekend, but all rooms were booked! The hotel staff was great! The rooms were really nice and comfortable. My only complaint was the noise of the delivery trucks in the morning. My room was in the back. And the water pressure wasn't the best in the bathroom sink, but the shower was hot! I will definately be back!

“Fabulous Location - Modern - Swank Hotel”

We stayed here 3 nights over a weekend and it was fantastic. It is inexpensive, very swank and fabulous rooms and bathrooms, staff is so nice, and the location is to die for. You are right between the collins avenue area/lincoln road and the ocean drive part of south beach. Quiet in front of hotel at night too which is a +

“great for a non - romantic gateaway”

the hotel was just fine - for its class and its price. when it comes to hotels, i am mostly concerned about the room cleaness, but the room was very clean. the toilet wasn't working at first (before we even got into the room), and only after few attempts and a request for a new room, someone finally came and fixed it. if you are traveling alone or with friends, and money is tight, i would defenitely recommend this hotel.

“SOUTH BEACH GEM”

I stayed at The Penquin Hotel for 4 nights, I enjoyed my stay very much. My room was very clean, white walls, white linens, mirrors, a chandelier, and a flat screen TV mounted on the wall. The bed was very comfortable, I slept like a baby. The great thing about this hotel is that there is a great restaurant on the lobby level called The Front Porch. Breakfasts and really good, and they serve lunch and dinner as well. The hotel is located right across from the popular beach, and is 3 blocks from Lincoln Road Mall where there are tons of shops and restaurants. I would definitly stay here again.

“An oasis of calm nestled in the bustle of South Beach”

Chose Hotel due to other reviewers and was not dissappointed. Hotel is positioned on a quiet block of Ocean Beach Drive and is within walking distance of Espanola Way and Lincoln Road. 5 minutes walk north or south takes you to where the action is at other hotels and nightclubs. Beautiful beach is just across the road. Hotel staff are curtious and friendly and rooms are clean, well appointed and nicely decorated. Hotel policy is to close the public bar down early evening (soon after 9pm) and they do not have live music. This is a big plus because other hotel bars down Ocean Drive stay open with loud music and dancing until 5 and 6 in the morning. When you have had enough hedonism you can be assured a quiet place to rest at the Penguin. Only downside was the lack of wireless internet connection but to be fair, there are public places close by if you need to stay connected.

The room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The location was perfect. The staff was friendly. The whole bad thing that happened was our clock radio didn't work so we didn't have music to get ready and they never came to fix it..but that's it. The room was cleaned everyday. The whole wall is a mirror which is great for getting ready to go out. The location is awesome- one block from the beach and one block from Starbucks. Great price, I will definitely stay here again.
