Great location but could use a faceliftPosted Aug 23, 2013
Pros: The pool was beautiful and the hotel was right on the beach
The hotel is right on the beach and close to everything! Just a short walk to ocean dr, Lincoln rd, and Espanola Way. The hotel staff was always friendly and willing to go out their way for you. The only "cons" about the hotel was that there rooms and bathrooms were small and outdated, I mean to enter the room you actually had a key not a key card and they tell you there's a $75 lost key fee ( luckily I didn't have an issue with that) Also, our room wasn't cleaned until later in the day like 4pm, in fact one day we showed up at the same time as the maid (after spending the whole day at the beach) and ended up leaving so it could get taken care of. Lastly, the hotel next door is being completely renovated so beware for loud noises early in the morning. I didn't spend much time in the room so I would recommend this hotel mainly on location and good rate you can get it for.

South beach sophisticationPosted Aug 18, 2013
Pros: undstated elegance
Wonderful hotel, pleasant and helpful staff. Lots of art deco cache and ambience. Full of nostalgia and very well located. Great pool and beach and total Miami art deco charm. Restaurant has outdoor seating next to pool and palm trees, a total delight. Food of outstanding quality.

Good hotel, friendly staff...Posted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: Julio on the front desk was amazing, you could tell he really wanted us to have the best holiday and stay that we could.
Cons: Valet parking. It was extremely expensive and not value for money. We had a problem one morning waiting for almost 40mins for our car!
Location: Just a couple of blocks from Lincoln Road with all the shops, restaurants and bars. Also only four blocks from Ocean Drive for an evening drink...
The Raleigh hotel is a great art deco hotel on Collin's Ave. All the staff were friendly and always happy to offer help if they could. When we arrived it was Swim Wear Fashion Week and the hotel was hosting, so the hotel was very busy especially around the pool. After that was over we were upgraded to a better room to ensure the rest of our stay was relaxing. Julio on the front desk arranged this and he was very helpful arranging a poolside massage for my wife for her birthday. My wife and I have been to Vegas the previous two years so are used to big luxurious rooms so our room at the Rayleigh seemed small in comparison and took some adjusting to. Even so I would say the bathroom was on the tiny side. The hotel food was lovely, we ate breakfast there most mornings. Try the oatmeal or the brioche french toast - yummy :-) Also pop in for a cocktail inside the bar and have the friendly barman whip you up one of his many creations. The location was good, close to shops, bars and restaurants. Not on Ocean Drive with the main art deco hotels you see in the pictures but only four blocks away and in the company of some of the more high end hotels of South Beach, Miami. All in all it was a very good stay.

NicePosted Aug 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Good location, rooms are small and noisey but the relaxing mood of the rest of the hotel makes up for it. Friendly helpful staff, great pool and surrounding area. Right on the beach with beds provided by hotel on it. Dissappointed with being charged 11.25 for a bottle of evian water from my mini bar especially given the cost of the room. No justification for ripping guests off like this. Gratuity charges are also a joke in SOBE but not exclusive to this hotel.

Disappointing Hotel.Posted Jul 10, 2013
Pros: The staff, and the pool.
Cons: The overcharging
Having stayed at some of the best hotel's in the U.S,I found the Raleigh Hotel,South Beach Miami, over rated and over priced. The room's are shabby, small, and in need of an update, which should include a coffee maker, $25, for two very small cup's is naughty. They charge you $20 plus tax a day to use the beach wether you use it or not,but you don't find out till the bill is presented on leaving. The staff are amazing, nothing is to much trouble, the pool is wonderful, but none of the good thing's can compensate for the overcharging, after all Miami is a winter resort, and the wedding party I attended brought a lot of business to the hotel. Be aware,a sunset room, overlook's the main road, what a disappointment.

Thank you for your feedback. We are saddened to hear that your experience was not overall pleasurable. We understand that the style of the property may not be fitting to all travelers and do our best to provide excellent service. As a Art Deco building we do our best to maintain and preserve much of the history and charm that the Raleigh is so known for. The resort fee is for all of our guests to have the luxury of complimentary Wifi, pool and beach chairs and towels while staying at our resort hotel. We would love to have you back here with us to enjoy a better experience with us and would love to personally assist you and perhaps try one of our Ocean View rooms to enjoy the full South Beach experience. Please feel free to contact me directly to book. Best, Tiffany Morris Guest Relations Manager
