The Raleigh Hotel

Classic and comfortable hotel with good restaurant, privacy and very nice pool. The backyard andthe room is spacious. The staff are warm , nice and provide excellent service. This hotel is great romantic getaway.

Gorgeous pool and lobby and great location, but the room's could do with some TLC

Hotel definitely had some 1930 art deco charm. Location fantastic, close to everything but far enough away from the 20 somethings that inhabit the farther south part of south beach.

It was so sad to see the Raleigh in this condition, used to b the BEST! So what I can't figure out is what happened? Did Balazs sell the joint? The rooms, (& I looked at 3) Were literally like JAIL, old disgusting rusty brown colored rugs, scratchiest sheets on the planet, smelled like smoke (even though smoke free) bathrooms had hairs , smelled like BO ( body odor ) Old cracked paint on walls. Scarce amount of employees, if u find 1 they will barely stop to even acknowledge u, maybe they don't know what go say? The hotel is clearly hanging on by a string . The pool did have several guests around it, but out of 3 outside bars not one was open, & neither was the one inside.. In fact there was no one around to even ask if we cld order a snack, water, juice, much less a cocktail. Stupid, bc they cld be making some $$ on drinks, which they clearly need. On the beach we asked several times if we cld place an order, they kept saying they didn't know if "the guy" had come to work today... & apparently the guy we were asking , did not directly work for the Raleigh, he worked for an outside co. that makes sure the guests are getting charged for the umbrellas, etc. Somehow they did have that "base" covered, But guests can't even get a bottle of water? Anywhere?? Too bad it is clearly about to go under, & FAST:( Hopefully some new young hotelier will come along and save it, because it is quite a Gem! As of now I wld NEVER stay there again!!

My husband and I stayed there for his 40th bday. They gave away our room for the 1st night, but were very apologetic and made up for it with a complementary dinner and a bottle of champagne. They put us up in another hotel for one night...they really went out of the way to make it up though. Great restaurant and staff!

Rooms are nice but on the smaller side. The bathrooms are a little small, especially. However, the staff is excellent. Great pool and outdoor oasis area to relax, great access to the beach with chairs and umbrellas and food service available to hotel guests. Stay here if you want to be close the beach and enjoy the pool area in a low-key relaxed atmosphere. Don't stay here if you want a fancy, modern room or want a party hotel.

My mom and I came for a quick four day getaway and had a great time. Its small (relatively speaking) and charming. Loved hanging by the pool, the beach and taking walks on the boardwalk.

I had a great stay! The staff was very friendly and responsive!

WMC weekend was the most amazing time I've ever had.
