Art Deco and welcoming

Posted Jul 28, 2015
We went on a rainy weekend so we were inside the hotel most of our stay. I don't think I've stayed at a hotel with a more personable staff. The decor was all Art Deco and I really appreciate how much they stuck to that era and theme. I will definitely visit again when I can afford it!

Would not revisit

Posted Jul 19, 2015
I paid for a ocean front room and arrived early. After letting them know we are going to be early and dropping off our suitcases they took 5 hours to get our room ready. They had people walking in that just got there and immediately getting their standard room keys. If I knew they prioritize standard room I would of not spent the extra money. They also included a 25 dollar internet fee that was not stated on their website. Bed did not have proper support and will squeak if there is excessive movement. Ruined the experience for me and my wife.

In desperate need of renovation

Posted Jul 12, 2015
Pros: The pool
Cons: Proper beds, better mattresses, tea/coffee making facilities, improved air conditioning, shower needs renovating
Location: Good location in the heart of South Beach. Lively at nights, Good restaurants nearby.
Recently stayed here for 3 nights and very disappointed with hotel rooms. We booked through Expedia and had 2 superior double rooms which looked nothing like the photos shown on the website. The photos must reflect top of the range rooms. I was was told by the Receptionist that superior rooms are in fact entry level rooms which is slightly confusing as what are they superior to then? The beds looked like camp beds and were very hard to sleep on and only had 2 pillows. No coffee/tea making facilities. The air conditioning was so noisy we had to turn it off at night time. The shower flooded as the glass panel did not extend far enough and you couldn't move the shower head. The furniture was very basic and tatty. I know this is an Art Deco hotel and I have to say that the pool area and reception, bar and dining room were charming but this was not reflected in the bedrooms. We had to move rooms as our neighbours were so loud and the hotel staff did this with no quibble but there is no sound proofing at all so you can hear every word from the next room.

Should be more of a 2,or 3, star hotel not 4 star

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Very small, old, out dated and very pricey. Not a 4 star hotel

Nice hotel and great staff

Really good food at the pool bar. Friendly Staff and beach chairs included in Resort Fee ($25). Pool is cool because it's depth reaches upto 7 ft and for tall people like myself this is a plus! Would stay again

Urban Oasis

Pros: Everything. Of course the pool is simply spectacular.
Location: Beach, dinning, bars and clubs, art, fantastic book store, shopping
Beautiful place, piece of paradise right in the heart of SoBe. Best place to stay in Miami. A destination in itself.

Always a brilliant stay at this hotel. Just the perfect respect for the heritage decor of this place. And the staff are truly exceptional in looking after their guests. Very very warm and welcoming. Absolutely recommended!

Great place to relax on South Beach

Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: Staff are friendly and helpful.
Cons: Wifi is terrible and threadbare pool towels, both of which you have to pay for as part of your resort fee.
We stayed at the Raleigh Hotel at the end of May and enjoyed our stay however the hotel is in need of TLC. The staff are very friendly and happy to help. As part of your stay you have to pay a resort fee which covers your Wifi and pool towels, however the Wifi was terrible (cut out all the time) and the pool towels were old and threadbare.

nice hotel close to beach

Posted Jun 2, 2015
Pros: I loved the ease, comfort, quiet, calm and scale of this hotel compared to much of the mayhem on Miami Beach.
Very nicely appointed, comfortable small hotel with glorious pool and friendly staff, close to the beach and within walking distance of restaurants & shops.
