Exemplary service

Posted Jun 30, 2014
This is not, by any means, the best Ritz I've ever stayed at wrt appearance or amenities. The beach is unusable. HOWEVER the service is exemplary. Every staff member I encountered was so willing to make a situation perfect.

Beautiful location, right on the beach, hotel staff very accommodating. Restaurant at hotel also amazing, portions were a bit on the small size but the food was amazing. Overall amazing experience!

Would recommend to all

Posted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: The staff were absolutely fantastic. They truly made the experience with their friendliness and humour that much better.
Cons: More options for In Room Dining, and most orders were written correctly, but came up something else.
Absolutely had a wonderful stay at the Ritz-Carlton and would definitely go back if I visit Miami again. Beautiful views, great staff, and extremely relaxing.

Great hotel!!!!

Posted Jun 11, 2014
Nice beach and pools, friendly staff, big room and bathroom. Love it! Key Biscayne is a little far away from the rest of Miami (shopping, bars, restaurants). But if you era decided to stay at KB, this hotel could be the best choice.

Beautiful Beach

Posted Jun 2, 2014
This is my fourth visit to the Ritz Carlton in Key Biscayne. All visits were enjoyable. The staff is very polite and helpful. The beach is beautiful and the property is well maintained. There were not many guests at the hotel. Upon check-in we were given a room upgrade. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked into a two room suite with two balconies that had an ocean view. The food is pricey but there are affordable choices near the hotel. We ate lunch at the Dunes which was not as pricey as dinner. Josh, the bartender at the Dunes, was very helpful with choosing dishes and different drinks. We are definitely looking forward to our next trip.

Great high quality hotel resort

Posted Jun 1, 2014
Pros: Location was great, if you want to get away from the bustle of Miami
Cons: Free self parking option would be nice.
Location: Billy Baggs state park is worth a visit.
This is a great resort centrally located in Key Biscayne and in easy walking distance to local shops and restaurants. The hotel is top notch and very plush. The gardens at the rear are very well kept and there are two pools, one just for adults, which is great if you like to get away from kids. The gardens open on to a beach will access to the ocean. There are several restaurants and we ate at one of the two next to the beach. The food was good quality and they even allowed us to order off menu as we only wanted a 'snack'. The price was good for the class of hotel and the atmosphere was great. Access to the Key is via a causeway and only available at a cost. That said it's only $4 so it's not going to break the bank. The island (key) feels like a different world from Miami city and has a nice cozy safe feel to it. Many locals travel around in golf carts which add to that feeling. The only negatives for the hotel is parking is charged, and being America, 'requires' a tip on top each time you access the car. That said the staff and very friendly and the car came very quickly each time we needed it. Secondly we opted for a balcony room, however, it was located on the side of the hotel overlooking the roof of the shops on the first floor. A better option would be to go for a ocean view room. That said the balcony was great to sit out on with a drink in the morning or evening and enjoy the Miami heat.

Perfect for kids

We have been there 3 times now with small children. Perfect every time. The staff and service is excellent. The beach is private for hotel guests, and right next to the pool, very convenient to switch between them.

Disappointed in Ritz Key Biscayne!!!

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: The spa
Cons: See experience - quite a few things.
Hotel Room - Broken Hair Dryer, Broken Microwave, No washcloths; had to request them Lobby Area/Reading Area - 3 days in a row the same dried ketchup on granite coffee table Upholstery Edging hanging off chairs; No chairs at either adult pool or family pool if you didnt rush out and presave at 10 AM./ Many chairs saved throughout the day that no one sat in for hours. For $900+ a night and it being a Ritz Carlton, having stayed at other Ritz locations I had much higher expectations. Front Desk offered me a $250 credit; in addition I checked out a day early.

rooms too small

Posted Mar 14, 2014
We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 Kids. The room we were offered was so small that it was impossible to accomodate all of us. there was only one small closet, too. we had to buy an upgrade to a Suite for another $ 400 per day. this is ridiculous! also, the Hotel is Advertising their Kids Club but they don't mention anywhere that they Charge $ 20 per hour per child to participate in the Kids Club activities. no wonder, there was nobody there except our Kids for one day. Overall experience of the Hotel: beautiful but a complete rip off!!!
