“FANTASTIC GUEST SERVICE”

My friend and I LOVED this hotel. All of the staff were courteous, helpful, polite and super attentive. The place was spotless and peaceful. The pool is open 24 hours, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are spacious and the entire main lobby smelled like roses. I absolutely would go back, and would move in if I could afford it! It was walking distance to lots of places to eat and shops. Quick drive from the airport . The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the room service food. The chocolate cake was a huge disappointment and the hamburger was just okay.

We loved the little juice bar called The Last Carrot. Great juices and yummy pita sandwiches. Jaguar was good. My ceviche was really good. Don't remember the name but it was Ahi with ginger and avocado. My friend wasn't impressed with hers though. Hugely disappointed in Versailles. Way too much hype over below average Cuban food. Had better Cuban food at the MIA before we left at a place called Hu Va. Havana Harry's was really good. I had their specialty pork and it was fantastic! The chocolate dessert was completely decadent and a must if you are a chocolate fan. The stuffed plntain appetizer was super yummy.

Convenient location, very attentive staff, very nice and comfortable room. Watch overnight parking @ $30 overnight.

“Hospitable people.”

The hotel is very cozy. Its personal is so kind, you will feel like if you were at home. Extremely family friendly, not too crowded, and quiet atmosphere.

“Really Good, But Not Great”

OK, so when you stay at the Ritz, you have high expectations...you do pay for it. Unfortunately, there were a few issues during this stay which prevented it from being a truly wonderful experience: *The first room we were escorted to had a HORRIBLE sewer smell - even the bellman noticed it. We were quickly given another room which smelled fine, but the spa had the same odor. I'm not sure of the cause, but there was no denying it smelled really bad. Our friends (also staying at the hotel) also smelled it in the spa. *The vanity mirror in the bathroom was broken. *The door to the room had a lock which stuck so it didn't always engage. In other words, you had to mess with the bolt to get it to slide out when you closed the door; otherwise, the door wouldn't lock. So, with those issues noted, everything else about our stay was terrific: *The pool is a terrific place to pass the day *The bar area is easy to sit at for hours! *Coconut Grove is a fun place to walk around and people watch

“5-Star service, Great location.”

stayed for 4 nights, wish it could have been more. Superior service, beutful property,and great loction in the heart of Coconut Grove, with lots of resturants, movie theater and shopping. the hotel is located across the street from Dinner Key Marina and Biscayne Bay.

“Wonderful experience!”

We recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights over our anniversary weekend. It was wonderful! The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful, and the hotel is extremely well kept and beautiful. The pool is not extravagent like a beach resort would be, but it was very nice and everyone was very friendly. The location is very close (walking distance) to many restaurants, shops, and bars in Coconut Grove, and not a very far ride from the airport or other areas of Miami. Of course, meals/drinks at the hotel are expensive, but that is true of many luxury hotels, especially when you are paying for the attentiveness and beauty of a Ritz Carlton. I would not hesitate to go back!

Traveler's tip

Local restaurants we tried: Greenstreet: Good food, great people watching Chicago's Steakhouse and Tavern: New place, very cute, pretty good food Crazy Pianos: entertaining, good food Monty's: great atmosphere in the harbor. Nice for drinks but not sure about food. All of these places are within 5-10 minutes walking and are surrounded by many other places that I wish we had time to try.
