Gorgeous property!
Posted Jan 26, 2013
This was our second stay at this hotel. The service level of the staff is attentive; cleanliness is immaculate! Our room was so nice we could have moved in! The bed itself was delicious! Pool area is lovely and to property is short walk to downtown Coconut Grove. You have reciprocity to the Ritz in South Beach to hang you hat if you want to have a beach day. We would definitely go back to this property.

Absolutely a 5 star experience!
Posted Jan 13, 2013
Pros: Staff is very attentive from the top down, very concerned for guest comfort and positive experience.
Cons: The fragrances a bit overpowering in some areas especially the main floor
Location: The waterfront and Cocowalk are minutes by foot and many iconic Miami attractions are within a short cab ride
Don't worry about the neighborhood, it's a lovely oasis with a great staff, lovely amenities, all you expect and more.

Construction next door at hotel

Pros: Close to waterfront
Cons: Construction noise
Location: Good area close to water
Construction across the street really was loud and distracting in hotel room. Otherwise hotel was nice.

Beautiful hotel

The Ritz Carlton is a beautiful hotel. The staff went out of their way to ensure our comfort and enjoyment while staying there. The pool area was very relaxing and well kept. There was bar and food service available there. The food was delicious! I would definitely recommend this hotel. I can't wait to return!!

Ritz price, average everything else...
Posted Jan 31, 2013
for $450/night everything should be close to perfect - it was not... location is not bad - it is doest not have the energy and Art Deco architecture of Miami Beach but Coconut Grove is a pleasant neighborhood the hotel is clean and has a Ritz quality to it, but it is outdated compared to the competition - lobby ambience was dull (although this was a busy vacation week) service was below par (again for that price) - first gave us a room on the second floor facing a terribly noisy construction site - then moved us to the seventh floor but we later noticed it was a handicapped room (we were not told)....breakfast service was slow and inefficient ....most days getting a taxi cab took forever would not recommend this hotel for that price

Coconut Grove Ritz clean and friendly
Posted Jan 24, 2013
Pros: cleanliness of room
Cons: slow service by pool and outside terrace
Location: close to the Grove
Excellent room. Clean and housekeeping very good. My only complaint is that the concierge and front desk said they would provide me with an answer to questions (2x) but they never followed through. Service slow by the pool and outside terrace. Other than that, staff were friendly and I was impressed with cleanliness.

Nice place for the Coconut Grove Arts Festival
Posted Jan 25, 2013
Pros: the heated pool
Location: just on the edge of Coconut Grove
Everything was fine except a few minor glitches with the room service: the first night I ordered a margarita pizza and glass of wine..the wine came but no pizza, the server seemed surpised even though the check she had me sign for the wine showed a total which included the pizza; but she showed up with a pizza a half hour later and a second glass of free wine. Not sure what kind of pizza it was since it had artichokes on it. The next night I order the same thing but still didn't get a margarita pizza as described in the menu. The final day I ordered breakfast by placing the card on the door the night before..the breakfast never showed, and when I checked out and told the desk clerk checked with the kitchen and said I had failed to check on the card what time I wanted the breakfast...she was very apologetic and comped one of my evening meals...but why not leave me a voicemail asking me to call with the delivery time (assuming you don't want to risk waking me up by calling directly)? I also had a spa treatment which was listed as 75 minutes but only lasted slightly less than 60... these were minor issues overall, and I'd likely stay at this hotel again.

Overnight stay that melted away our travel stress
Posted Jan 11, 2013
Personalized attention from the moment we walked in. I was offered a glass of champagne and the valet entertained my kids while I checked in. They received little toys and got to ride the luggage cart which to my 4 year old is almost like a ride at Disneyland!. Everyone we came in contact gave us great service. We were only there for a flight layover and the stress of traveling melted away. Totally worth it!
