Drabby hotel

Mediocre hotel. I would expect more from a 3.5-4 star hotel. Nice decor but everything just looked old and grungy. The housekeeper did a great job cleaning but the hotel itself just looked worn down with rust and mildew in the bathroom, dirty behind furniture, etc. Our last night the a/c started dripping water from the ceiling. Breakfast was basic. Nothing fresh. No healthy options. No variety day to day. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

Lovely hotel, great location

Absolutely loved the hotel! Felt so welcome by all members of staff. The rooms are spacious, cleaned daily and good for travellers looking for something centrally located. Sister hotel 2 mins away where you can use the facilities. Would definitely stay here again.

Very unhappy that the front desk was never answering our calls. The rooftop pool wasn't clean and they decided to clean it as they saw we went up there to tan, on top of that the entire rooftop smelled like septic, as they again decided to attend to the problem once they saw guests were up there. We then were obligated to go to the sister hotel which was ten times better.The towels had stains and the cleaning products used to clean the rooms were too strong - very chemical like smell for hours. Our kitchen area smelled like vomit-last place you'd expect. Lastly not happy with the overcharge of check out fee. Website said 50, we were charged 75 and also the front desk guy made a note saying our things were scattered in the room when they were not.

Hidden Gem on Miami Beach

The Sanctuary is a great little hotel that completely exceeded our expectations. The staff was more than accommodating to all our small requests, and the hotel in general has a relaxed feel compared to big chain hotels. The roof-top pool is open 24/7 (an awesome place to make a few friends) and they offer a free shuttle to and from anywhere you want to go in Miami Beach (great when your high heels won't last much longer on the Ocean View strip)!

Very close to beach and activity

This hotel is a great price, however, if you plan on spending any time in your room know that the furniture is very uncomfortable to sit/try to relax in. This was really the only drawback to this hotel. Staff was nice, room was clean.

Good Location

Good location, although on a busy street there was no traffic noise. Reception staff very friendly (Eddy). Cool layout, nice restaurant and lounge area. The room was large and had separate sitting area with small kitchen. Unfortunately that's where the positive review ends. The room had a horrible smell to it...so bad that it kept me awake all night and I cancelled a second night stay I already had booked. The air conditioning was also really loud and every time it cut in and out it woke me up (when I managed to doze off as the smell was horrific). Couldn't shower either because the water went from scalding hot to scalding hot. Although a cool concept, the room was in poor condition and the smell was absolutely disgusting. Sorry, can't recommend this hotel to anyone, even if you are looking for a budget stay.

Smells of sewage and mold in room!

As soon as you enter the lobby, it smells like sewage. Then you get to the room and you smell mold. Half way into the night, you throat gets super dry from breathing in the spores, and days after, your clothes still smell like mold. It's central A/C, so it's safe to assume that every single has this mold issue. Save yourself from getting from black mold and stay away from this place.
