Pretty Nice

Posted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: huge amount of space, near the beach without the beach hotel pricing, good vale for the money
Cons: parking availability
The place is an actually an interesting mix of regular tenants and hotel rentals. As apartments go it was beautifully done with plenty of space including a full kitchen, living room, eparate bedroom and bathroom and huge closetss. This is a great place for families satying in Miami on a budget with an onsite pool and only 2 blocks fro the beach. The downside is first there is serious limited parking. I arrived in the afternoon and there was no more hotel parking and while I lucked out in the street, there is nearly no street parking and overnite parking 2 blocks away can run 20-30 dollars a night. I opted to stay parked and took cabs around - sort of defeated part of the reason I had a car. There is no restaurant on premise and other than a gas station on the corner with basic milk and juice, it is a bit of a trek to go out to eat. All in all it is a nice place and would recommend it.

Hello there Myron, Thank you for the time you took to share your feedback with us, and all of our future guests! Our apartments are very spacious and have everything you need to make yourself at home. There is limited parking here at Tradewinds and work has first come first serve. There are other parking options around the hotel, such as garage, lot and municipal parking. Taxi's on South Beach are fairly cheap and for a few bucks you can get everywhere. We hope that you would stay with us again in the future!

Booked Tradewinds but was moved to Riviera

Posted Mar 30, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness and good restaurant
Cons: better lighting in room
Location: Two blocks from convention centre as well as Collins Avenue and beach
When I checked in at Tradewinds, was informed they overbooked and I had been moved to their sister property, the Riviera. The move was fine with me as the location of the Riviera was better for my visit being just two blocks from the convention centre. However, would have been nice to know about the move before my taxi dropped me off at Tradewinds. I ended up walking the five or so blocks to the new property with my luggage. Room at Riviera was large with all the amenities I needed and very clean. However, it was also quite dark. Being an older building, windows were small and so lacked natural light. Lighting in room was inadequate to make up for it and each fixture had to be turned on independently which was a bit time consuming. I couldn't use the safe in the closet as it was so dark, I could not read the instructions printed on it. Staff was friendly and helpful, property was very pleasant, restaurant/bar on property was very good with reasonable prices and decent service. Overall, I'd recommend the property particularly if the location is suitable for you.

Immaculate hotel, friendly staff, near beach

Posted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: The apartment was beautiful with the white leather sofa, glass tables and dark wood. The salt water pool was perfect for us. Great little kitchen.
Cons: The mattress on the sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Only appropriate for a small child. Water pressure in shower wasn't great.
Location: Short walk to a quiet part of the beach. Walgreens a minute walk with most supplies available including food, beer, beach gear. Ballet, Bass Museum.
Travelled with a toddler to Miami for some sun and this was the perfect place to stay. The hotel grounds are SO clean and well maintained. We did not have a car and walked everywhere which was just wonderful as we were away from the hustle and bustle of the strip but certainly in walking distance. We stayed in the '400 block' right at the pool. Perfect for a toddler who likes to swim!

Hello there Cynthia, Thank you so much for your lovely 5 star feedback! We are extremely glad to know that your stay with us was a great one! Our staff is always hard at work to make sure that everything within the hotel is clean and well maintained. We are a bit further from all the action yet still close when you want to get to it. We hope that you would stay with us again in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here

Posted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: It was very quiet and relaxing.
Location: It's about 5 blocks to the beach and a bit more to town. But we enjoyed the walk.
It's like having your own home away from home! There's a nice living room, kitchen and bedroom. Very comfortable beds. We would definitely come back here!

Not so good. Better options around.

Posted Feb 11, 2014
Again hotel is not very good. A lot of construction around with noise. Impossible to lay at pool because of construction nearby. Not dirty yet not super clean. Don't get me started on those so-called resort fees. Let's just call them fees. Don't trust the shuttle, it is late and unreliable.

Great apt all amenities

Posted Feb 6, 2014
Pros: Size condition and convenience for a lengthy stay.
Location: Midway between the beach and the convention center and close to all of the restaurants but not so close that it was loud.
Spacious apt with all amenities. We had an apt overlooking the beautiful pool. The apt was conveniently located within walking distance of the convention center and a perfect place to stay while doing a trade show. Our apartment had a full kitchen and we were able to have breakfast in our unit before our trade show started. We will definitely go back next year.

Very nice hotel!

This hotel was very nice. My 2 daughters and I stayed for 3 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed the courtyards, landscaping, pool area and free bike rental. We walked to the beach and restaurant area every day, prepared meals in the kitchen of our suite and rode bikes around town. The room was clean and very spacious. We took the shuttle from the airport to the hotel and it was prompt. I would recommend this hotel for anyone that doesn't want to be in the very busy areas but wants a quiet area that is within easy walking distance to all the action.
