“Hope to be back in May”
The hotel is very comfortable and the front desk service is excellent. I hope to be back for my daughter's graduation in May.
“Lovely, clean and central place to stay”
Really enjoyed my stay, clean comfortable and super friendly staff.
“Great weekend getaway”
We saw some bad reviews on other sites, but they were clearly by a disgruntled customer who had double-booked a room and was unhappy to have been charged when he didn't cancel on time. I start with this because you should not be be deterred by this hotel's 3-star or less reviews. The inn (really a hotel) is in the center of the university town. We booked there to attend Goodspeed, a few miles away. There are plenty of dining places in town, so stay an extra day for brunch or dinner. The room was large and well-appointed, but nothing amazing--comfortable and very clean. Even though the inn is on a main street, our room was very quiet. We don't like the close quarters of a B & B and want a quiet, private breakfast, and there is a full-service restaurant and bar on the premises. The place isn't a bargain--the prices are more Connecticut country club than country farm--but it delivered. They have valet parking, but our desk clerk suggested parking on the street as the meters weren't running on Sunday. It saved us a few bucks. I didn't see a garage, so you might be paying for valet when they are street parking, too.
“Nice hotel, restaurant food not recommended”
Hotel is very nice, staff friendly, rooms comfortable and clean. Bar is okay. Breakfast fine. However, dinner at the restaurant very disappointing. Waited for almost 1 hour. When the food finally arrived it was lukewarm. Gravy that came with some of the dishes was full of burnt onions. Maybe, because it was a Monday night, the usual chef had his day off. Will go back to this hotel but will not risk dinner there
“Comfortable”
our staff whom has stayed here says is very nice and comfortable.
