"Small but perfectly formed"
This hotel is ideally located for sightseeing uptown and downtown. It's small which makes it more personal than some of the larger hotels. The staff, front desk, bar, breakfast room and concierge, we're all excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and really very helpful and are probably the main reason we would stay here again and recommend to friends. Great little rooftop bar too and while this can get a little busy from time to time we were always able to find a nice seat outside.

"Silver Anniversary celebrations"
Booked The Towers at New York Palace for silver anniversary - what can I say. We booked a king size suite which was fab. Entrance area, living area, bedroom, dressing room and bathroom. Fantastic views and fabulous location. Room very comfortable with little extras - ipod docking station, Molton Brown toiletries,The Hotel is within easy walking distance to most tourist attractions. Didn't eat in the hotel, however lots of places close by for breakfast and dinner

"good location"
Hotel is located between Grand Central Station and Central Park. The rooms at the back of the hotel are very quiet. Rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very substantial with fruits, cereals and breads. The staff were very helpful.

"Wonderful staff!"
The staff were fantastic! They met us at the door with a smile after a very stressful drive in, greeted us every morning, checked in with us every night, and truly cared about how our meetings and day went! We couldn't ask for more.

"Nice hotel below 33rd"
Very nice stay. Breakfast could have been better as I got one piece of toast with no butter, jam, etc. Also had to ask for sugar and a refill for my coffee, all for $30+

"Classy boutique hotel"
Clean, stylish boutique hotel in mid-town. Stayed for 4 nights with 17 year old daughter and felt very safe here. Saw a photo shoot in the lobby one evening...a model and her entourage. Hotel was probably chosen for this because it is classy in a Frank Sinatra kind of way. Nightly happy hour was a nice bonus. Saw people eating and drinking in the Lounge (1 floor up from the Lobby) and it looked appealing, although we didn't eat there. Room was reasonably spacious for NYC, and very quiet. Stayed in room 1018, which had 2 comfortable double beds. Bathroom was nicely outfitted, but quite small. For some strange reason, there was no fan for use with shower. Water in the shower took 4-5 minutes to heat up just so that it was usable. Once it was warm, there was plenty of hot water. Didn't touch anything from the fridge or snack selection, as it was very over-priced ($7 for a bottle of water!). The view in 1018 was of a brick wall, but we weren't bothered by that at all, as it is probably fairly typical of NYC. Staff was very professional and helpful without being intrusive. Used subway all week, and the closest station was approx. three blocks away (34th Street near Macy's Herald Square). We walked a great deal all week, so this distance wasn't an issue for us. Ample shopping nearby. Overall we would definitely recommend The Roger!

"Great location, good value"
This hotel is really well placed for all the mid- and downtown sightseeing stuff. It's a walk to Times Square but not too far, the sightseeing bus stops a few blocks away at the Empire State Building and there are loads of good value places to eat if you go a block or two away from 5th Avenue. Shelley on the front desk is just great - funny, helpful and a great first impression for us when we arrived at 1am! Rooms are smallish but nicely done and very clean. Would stay here again.
