"One night stay- so pleasant"
My boyfriend and I have trouble finding time for each other and wanted to spend the night together on a whim. We were both tired and didn't need to look far before we found this budget friendly hotel with easy access to a nearby Duane Reade for snacks. The bathtub was a little small since the two of us wanted to bathe together and relax after a long day. But the bathroom was lovely and well lit. The bed was so comfortable and I fell asleep immediately. The thermostat was a little annoying so we just ended up turning it off. Overall great place on a whim. The breakfast was hot and delicious too!!!

"Good hotel near centre of Manhattan"
Pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Good standard throughout, staff helpful. On one occasion the room wasn't serviced but this was soon rectified when brought to their attention. We did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the catering. There were plenty of reasonable alternatives nearby. Transport to JFK airport easy to arrange through hotel concierge. Overall a good experience and we would stay there again.

"Excellent hotel in a fantastic location"
My husband and I stayed in the Hilton Garden Inn Midtown for 4nts. The location is fantastic, the Empire State building is literally around the corner, you are walking distance to pretty much everything and being in Midtown its half way between most of the big sights. The check-in process was quick and easy (although I wasn't advised a hold charge would be placed on my credit card, nearly had a heart attack when I checked my bill but quickly realised what it was so no big issues), we were in room 2502 which had city views out to the side of the hotel. The room was very quiet and clean, slightly on the warm side for us and if we put the air con on at night it was too noisy for us to sleep through so resorted to leaving a window open. Beds were comfy and room facilities were great - big tv, coffee machine, microwave and mini fridge plus ironing board etc. We didn't actually use any of the hotels other facilities as we were only in New York for 4 night so wanted to make the most of our time in the city, plus the hotels location is surrounded by restaurants and attractions so there are plenty of places to go for dinner. The hotel does have a restaurant attached which looked nice and the breakfast smelt great when we walked past. Murray Hill area is just out to the left of the hotel and there are lots of places to eat here which are a bit cheaper than if you head towards Times Square. We found a great Sushi place called Umi which was a 5min walk away.
